Brad Shapiro: Even though the book is very easy to read and intelligible, it skips over the most important information, and that is what was left out of the Enneagram, teaching by Claudio Naranjo that substantially changed it to be a typing system, instead of a system that falls into the category of self awareness, enlightenment, or "Know Thyself". This leaves the student chasing his own tail, trying to figure everything out. This is because the foundations of the Enneagram of Óscar Ichazo were left out for unknown reasons. I suggest that readers first pick up the Chargers writings on the Enneagram so that they have a solid foundation and then continue reading modern Enneagram theory so that it fits into a proper context.

It really helped me understand the various tests I've taken and it helped me interpret a lot of other things I had learned about the enneagram. It is a great introduction to learning more about the enneagram and yourself.

Kindle: Simple and no nonsense.
Easy flow and book layout to understand what the enneagram is and how it works.
I would have liked a bit more depth for each profile, but this is a great reference book that I will go back to again and again.

Sarah C.: I have really been into the Enneagram for the last couple years and have read a lot of different books. When someone asks me about “the gist“ of what each Enneagram number is, it’s hard to explain because I’ve read so much detail. However, this book seems to do the trick! It is a great intro, and gives a really good summary of each type. I also really like the comparison with each different number (ie type 1 in relationship with a 2, 1 with 3, 1 with 4 etc).
