Lovee: I gave this book five stars, because it is not only well written but also amazingly inspiring. I have read it every night for the last few weeks and I have highlighted so much of it. I enjoy reading books like this, but I realized that I needed to be reminded of a lot of things that I used to know. There’s too much to cover in this review. I don’t know where to begin except to say that it has already changed my life. I recommend it for everyone, because that’s the audience that Matthew Kelly is trying to reach. Read the book! Read it again!

lawlady: Excellent book! This should be a required read for people of all ages! I read this book over and over before actually copying pages and taping them to my wall. I purchased a copy for my husband and a copy for each of my kids. My intent is for my children to read this when then get out of high school then again in college then again after college and again and again. I am 40 years old and this book has helped change my life for the better. I can’t imagine what it would have done for me if I read it when I was 25 years old. Matthew Kelly discusses such basic principals in this book but he takes everything so deep that it hits your soul. I was able to refocus my life as a wife, mom, and professional. I felt it gave me courage to know becoming the best version of myself wasn’t something out of reach but very reachable day by day step by step. Thank you Matthew Kelly from me and my whole family.

Dandy20: I started this at the tail-end of my summer holiday and finished it when I got back. I thought it was excellent. I read this, the Slight Edge, The Miracle Morning and Sleep Smarter back to back over two weeks and they all link really well and it set me up for success in the latter part of this year. Read them all! They are life changing! Or at least they have been for me and I do not say that lightly. But, everyone is unique, I suppose.
I really liked the authors writing style. Possibly not for everyone, but he came across as someone much older and wiser in his years and I presumed he was English in the way he "speaks" (he's not) but it's a nice style of writing either way.
I personally had loads of takeaways whilst reading it and lightbulb moments and I will be reading it again soon to remind myself and probably find new things of use in there too.
As someone who is looking to make some changes in their life and has found themselves in a position largely void of passion and purpose, and wholly believes in personal responsibility it was an invaluable ready. It's empowering and illuminating. I bought the Kindle version (easier on holiday) and it was fine, clear...

Peter Mangiola: LIVE A LIFE UNCOMMON!
To not read this book is to rob yourself of a life lived more meaningfully and more passionately. Matthew Kelly is more than a genius. A man with unmatched intelligence and a heart and spirit to match. At the age of 31, he has the clarity, wisdom, and insight to break through directly to the heart of the matter and enlighten us with the truth. Life is not about doing and having. Life is about being. 'Who you become is infinitely more important than what you do or what you have.' I have read the book four times and appreciate everything in my life more because of it. Every person, every relationship, every day, every breath! When you know what life is all about, you know the right answer to every question asked. When you know what life is about, you know what you should dedicate your time to. When you know what life is about, focusing comes naturally. 'Dedicate yourself to the things that deserve your dedication.' Matthew Kelly explains that the purpose of life is for us to become the-best-version-of-ourselves. The world doesn't need another Mother Theresa, the world doesn't need another Tiger Woods, the world needs you! Each of us can do one thing...

Amanecer: Matthew Kelly does not need more deserving accolades from me. I give them anyway and for sure this is a five star book. But there are some lingering questions I have that I think he needs to address. Rather than write volumes of a review I will focus mostly on those questions in a somewhat random manner.
On the idea that life is choices, does a three year old choose to be molested? Does an infant choose to be decapitated by mentally ill adults set on revenge toward each other (called collateral damage by some)?
Regarding the use of the word illusion, this works both ways and the illusion of value from hype artists needs to be addressed in terms of what is their set of values? This is complex as even the author implies that there is a value placed on how we need to be.
On one hand the author says, “We all need people in our lives who raise our standards, remind us of our essential purpose, and challenge us to become the-best version-of-ourselves” yet on the other hand he talks of we long to be that someone who can listen without trying to fix, change, or move the other person. This dichotomy needs to be clarified. For sure I liked Kelly’s comments on discernment....

boris rezaire: I read a lot of personnal development books, but i never saw a vision as profound as the one of the author. Combining growth around life passion, spirituality, relationship, health, with a clear analyse of our civilisation, this is a master piece.
