Jae KashJae Kash: The imagery and representative influences are captivating and dead-on insightful.
I was immediately drawn into the mystical and spiritual depth of each card.
The author and artist should be enamored and joyous over an amazing creation.
Thank you Colette🦋

Storm CestavaniStorm Cestavani: The Good Tarot

“The Good Tarot doesn’t shy away from the truth of our sufferings. Instead, it gives us hope that no matter how many times we stumble, we nevertheless find immense treasures as we discover our true natures as spiritual beings expressing ourselves through the art of living in the realm of form.”
From the Little White Book by Baron-Reid

So, let me say up front, I so did not want to like this deck.

The title of it annoys me, just a little bit…

I mean, if there is a ‘Good Tarot’ does that mean that there is a ‘Bad Tarot’? If so, could someone direct me to the bad deck? Further, what are the qualifications for a good tarot and a bad tarot?
Is this like Good Witches and Wicked Witches? Are ‘Good’ and ‘Bad’ real or simply in the eye of the beholder?

The good news (or could it be bad news?) is that I decided to give the deck a chance. After all, I have several decks by Colette Baron-Reid, and I have thoroughly enjoyed them.

Before I read through the LWB (that’s tarotspeak for Little White Book that usually comes with a tarot deck), I looked through the deck. It’s a beautifully designed deck that...

Billie: The Good Tarot by Colette Baron Reid. Oh my days I adore this tarot deck so so much!!!!! There has been a lot of noise about this in tarot community as a result of its name, which has caused some controversy. I bought it after seeing it on a flip through of all the cards, on You Tube and I adore it soso much.

The images are many layered and blended Photoshop style and there is so much in each picture, if you like to read intuitively its amazing. The pictures are soothing and gentle and great to meditate on. Please buy this deck because you like the art, maybe have a look at flip through video's that are on You Tube if you want to see all the cards first. I did that and loved so many, that from a collectors point of view, it had to come home. Having worked with it now, I am very bonded to this deck, it has a wonderful positive energy to it, and its images. If you choose to read the book that comes with the deck you will find it full of affirmations. Some cards have prompts to move you along in a given situation but the book is written in the first person, so they read as if you were speaking to yourself.

My previous fave deck was; Native Spirit Oracle deck for its...

SarahSarah: Before learning to read tarot, I was using Colette Baron-Reid's Wisdom of the Oracle, which I find lovely to use and very insightful. When I saw she was bringing out a new deck in collaboration with the same artist I placed a pre-order, but I cancelled it after previewing a few of the cards at Hay House Ignite - The Magician looked too much like Santa, and I wasn't sure this deck was for me.

After being released a couple of weeks ago it has been popping up in my Instagram feed since then, showing lots of imagery which did appeal to me, however the reviews I found were less than consistent. For everyone who loved it, there was another condemning it - one Amazon review headlined 'NOT TAROT' stated "There is fluff and then there is the lint that sits on top of fluff - and that, my friends, is what the 'Good Tarot' by Colette Baron-Reid is, fluff-lint. I never hate decks but I actually hate this deck." Intriguing!

The extreme reaction of early reviews turned out to be in my favour when I found an opened but unused deck for sale (for a steal!) and decided to make up my own mind. These are my first impressions.

The deck arrived in the same sturdy box as my other Hay...

BarbB9: I can't believe I haven't reviewed any previous decks by Colette Baron Reid (as there are a number of them I own, I read quite frequently, and that I have purchased for others as gifts). There is a couple reasons this did not earn five stars from me (more on that in a moment). I find this deck is mostly suited for personal exploration. It is positive and affirming and look at the good side of all cards in the Tarot. Unlike some of the author's other decks, there are no reverse interpretations.

First...the nitty-gritty about this deck. This is a full 78-card Tarot deck with a major and minor arcana. The majors are numbered 0-21. Card titles are mostly the same with the exception of the following: Love = Lovers, Fortune's Wheel = Wheel of Fortune, Transformation = Death, Patience = Temperance, Temptation = Devil, Call = Judgement. Minor Arcana suits are: Air = Swords, Water = Cups, Earth = Pentacles, and Fire = Wands. Court cards are: Pages, Messengers = Knights, Queens and Kings.

Majors focus as normal on major themes or lessons. Court cards reflect attitudes/states of mind and, of course, can represent people or aspects of a personality that may be influencing a...

Amazon Customer: This deck is certainly special and I do understand it could be kind of like Marmite you hate it or love it.
The deck itself present in my opinion a great quality of glossy nice thick cards. The card are being designed by Jena DellaGottaglia who is the designer of her previous Oracle deck and as with the other Oracles they have been made by Photoshop or whatever software Jena uses. I know some people do not like this but particularly I do not mind specially when they are so well blended the imaginary and details each card present.

The Tarot Deck has some similitude with an oracle deck reason why some people do not like or is not going to like this deck my suggestion is to not be put off for this and give it a try of course this is not mandatory at the end of the day they are hundred of tarot deck available and the important thing is the deck has to resonate to you so there is not obligation to stick with this deck at all.

This deck follows the tarot format it is said, 22 major arcana plus 16 Court cards and 40 minor arcana. The size of the card is bigger similar to those of an oracle deck and they are border less. Really pretty to watch and get lost in their...
