Delhaye Martine: The colours theory in it is slightly inaccurate. Red is not a primary colour

Isabel G: Es un libro para principiantes, para hacer ejercicios muy simples si realmente estás empezando de cero, si ya sabes algo, o tienes una mínima base, este libro se queda muy básico. Para hacer ejercicios con niños puede ir bien

Susan W.: As a beginning watercolourist I really think this book is going to teach me some basics about colour theory, but more importantly I believe it will help me to relax and just play with my paints so I can discover what they can do and what I can do with them. I like that the author states up front that the pages will warp and buckle if you choose to do the exercises directly in the book. Since I plan on doing the exercises multiple times and would like to keep my book in good shape I'm going to practice on separate watercolour paper. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how the book was packaged. It arrived in a very thin bubble pack envelope. I'm amazed that it made the trip all the way from the UK without being damaged but I totally see how others have commented that their books arrived in bad shape.

C.M. & T.M.: At first I thought the book, while being absolutely gorgeous (thick white pages on luscious stock, great printing, full of color and information) was a little too basic for me. I am very familiar with basic color theory and the patterns and tutorials are pretty standard.
But then I realized the book was a wonderful kickstarter for me- I've been in a creative slump for a little bit and unsure of which project to work on next (too many ideas, no focus, no real plan to execute them), and working through this book is a wonderful hands-on way to get my watercolor habit back.
The exercises in the book are designed so that even though you're learning basic color theory, you can add some variation to them- there's no list of SPECIFIC colors and materials listed, so you can just pull out what you've got or what you like to use or want to use more of and have fun and see what happens. I kinda love that about this book, because lately color and watercolor has become a little too "precise" and "exact" for my tastes- there's this obsession suddenly with pigments and brands, etc. and I was always taught that watercolor is *supposed* to be a little unconventional, a little loose by...

Leslie: This book is a must in any type of art you may be interested in. Yes it’s a watercolor work book but color theory knowledge is a must in almost every type of media there is!! This book is fun and there are so many great projects that explain how colors work together. You can paint the projects in the book, which I love, or paint them on watercolor paper of your choice. The author is a master of colors!! Her stories about how she’s always been drawn to color and now it’s her career??? I couldn’t imagine how happy I’d be if working with color was something I got paid to do. If your reading reviews you must be interested in buying this book. I 100% recommend it thoroughly.
