kathleenjon: the 6 year old grand can read most of this, which is astounding. It reminds me of the Overstory, which will always be a favorite book.

dragonfly2012: Excellent book, great value and quality

msmorningstar: I bought this for my 6 year old grandson and my 7 year old great niece to celebrate Earth Day. They loved it and were amazed by the information and how it was presented. It’s a beautiful book color wise. I would have give it 5 stars, but my son said the print is a bit difficult to read on the bright colors at night.
I did a lot of research before I chose this book and it was well with it!

Liz: Excellent value for descriptive illustrations and writing! Absolutely love this book!

Michal Gatner: Probably more interesting for older kids and even adults. 4-6 year old kids didn't really like it that much. Apparently animals are more interesting to read about.

M. Tilston: My six year old daughter borrowed this book on repeat from our local library, and could not get enough. I was confident in my tree knowledge but this book offered so many incredible insights into the magnificence of trees that really captured both of our imaginations. Loved the book so much, we had to buy it for her bff as a Christmas gift.

janet mckernan: The book has a vast amount of information on trees. The artwork is eye catching and quite beautiful. The information was nicely spaced in levels of intensity. There were some ‘things to do’ or little projects for children and I think there could have been more...perhaps at the end of different areas of focus. The extent of the information and its intensity was such that for a parent who might read this book to a child it would be neat to make sections a little easier to determine when to stop reading that day. It is the kind of book one might keep forever to browse occasionally to remind oneself of the beauty of the earth and how precious each little animal is and how they and we are protected in and around trees. I will have a hard time giving it away....even to my beloved grandchildren.
