Amilee: As expected, except the size. I thought it would be 8x10 max. It was bigger than that. Might be difficult for younger kids to use by themselves.

a: This is not a STEM book. This is a dress up book where the characters are in science settings. Yes, really. For chemistry your daughter will put color-coordinated goggles on the 3 female characters. This book is at best a shameless attempt to capitalize on the current STEM fad, and at worst it is a mockery of the women’s movement. I don’t understand any of the other reviews. Are we of the view that girls are empowered if they are told that they can potentially work in a lab (in color coordinated goggles?). I personally am of the view that knowledge is power...and this book is curiously devoid of any knowledge.

A. SchumakerA. Schumaker: I bought this book for my four year old son and he loves it. I wanted him to see more women in STEM fields because they’re so disproportionately male. So much of kids’ toys and literature is male dominated and I felt it was important for him to see some educated women leaders. The book, except for the pink bonus sticker sheet in the very back, isn’t really girly. He really likes it and has been doing a page each day.

aplarosa: I love this book shows girl characters as it helps my 4year old relate. The quality of the pages, stickers and options are great. I wish the stickers were a little easier to remove. The stickers closest to the spine of the book are especially tough to remove. Would be handy to have the sticker pages perforated or separate? All around fun, clever and creative. Recommend this.

MangoMylaReiMangoMylaRei: My 6-year-old loves the book. I think it’s amazing and introduces science in a way that is fun and age appropriate. My daughter decorated each page with the stickers and loves telling stories about the scenarios she created. The concept is fantastic! On the other hand, the construction of the book is a bit precarious. The Sticker pages are hard to tear away which is required because I presume most kids find flipping from front to back constantly for stickers daunting. I managed to tear away all of the sticker pages while keeping the book somewhat intact. If I left my daughter to do it on her own, the book would not have survived.
