Tonicka Little: I love that the author made you feel like she was right there with me as I processed my story. Wow, acceptance is not agreement nor is it validation of things we find difficult to forgive, but it does help us deal with situation as they are without allowing the situations or event to control our lives. The work I completed as I read this book helped me to tap into a new grace that I not only needed but desired to give to others. Lord this book is a God send. I have purchased it for 7 individuals and shared it with others. I am grate for chapter 9 as I never would have identified how I have enabling habits. I am grateful for healthy boundaries to keep being good to me and others. Oh this is a EXCELLENT book!

Patty Scott: I bought this to try to help with my past trauma cuz I can’t seem to get past the guilt of being stupid for so long. I have just started reading it but what I’ve read so far makes sense and seems like it was meant for me. Hoping by the time I’ve finished reading it I’ll be somewhat better

J. Rayl-Chandler: What I got from this book is that forgiveness is not for the person who hurt me - forgiveness is for me, because I deserve to have peace; not to suffer all over again every time I remember being hurt. Also, that forgiveness doesn't mean that you allow people into your life, or maybe back into your life, who hurt you in the past. You can let go of past hurt without setting yourself up for more hurt from the same source. I like that there are action steps; forgiveness isn't a passive thing, it's an active process where you get to engage in your own healing. I recommend for anyone who would like to be free of resentment and anger.

Love the book and the truth bombs that Lysa Terkeurst delivers. I didn't make it pass the introduction without tears. For anyone grasping for a hint of grace through forgiveness, this book will certainly be a blessing.

Ashley: I adore Lisa Terkeurst's books!!!! She is an incredibly talented writer, who is so relatable and makes you feel like you are her best friend chatting over coffee while you read her words. This book is heartwarming, heartbreaking and absolutely beautiful all in one. She really opens up and makes you feel like it is okay to be vulnerable as a woman of God, rather than hiding and feeling ashamed. She always picks the best quotes and bible verses to go along with each chapter and paragraph too. This is a book you definitely won't regret reading!
