Petter Green: Mark Pecota has written an excellent book on how to succeed with crowdfunding campaigns.
It is a great introduction to the topic and in a practical way breaks down every step of the crowdfunding process. You can expect great insights, inspiration and an entertaining read.
It has a ridiculously low price for the tremendous value you get. Highly recommended!

Paul: A quick google for "crowdfunding expert" will inevitably lead you to Mark Pecota, the author of Crowdfunded.

It's rare you find an author who is truly an expert in their field, rarer to find someone willing to spill the beans to their "secret sauce", and even RARER to find someone who does it with humility and authority. This book is so practical. It lays out clear, followable examples of how to craft a crowdfunding campaign. It's honest, no-nonsense, and concise. Mark even puts links to the specific ads that helped drive several 6-figure campaigns that his company, LaunchBoom, helped create.

If you're going to launch a crowdfunding campaign anytime soon, I highly recommend reading this book. Thanks Mark and team for being so approachable and encouraging to entrepreneurs hoping to make crowdfunding less of a magical fairy tale and more of a concrete, proven science.

DBF: Das Buch von Mark Pekota finde ich im Vergleich zu anderen Büchern selben Inhalts am besten. Ich habe mit diesem drei gelesen. Es zeigt Wege auf, die man sonst nicht im Netz liest oder auch nur ein Flickenteppich und Crowdfunding-Mosaik darstellen. Ich lese auf dem Smartphone mit dem Kindle und habe mir unzählige Notizen gemacht. Warum - weil er in Details geht, die ich bei noch keinem Autor oder im Nett gelesen habe. Die teile ich ein in LERNINGS, TODOs, WOWS und SUPERWOWS. Bei noch keinem Buch hatte ich so viele SUPERWOWS. Spannend wie bei Quentin T. Damit wird es am Ende weniger blutig. Danke dafür! Ein SUPERWOW Beispiel... der sehr interessante Hebel beim sammeln von eMail Adressen und deren Einteilung in VIP Backer und normale Backer. Erstere konvertieren laut M.P. sehr viel mehr. Man hat das Gefühl, dass er keine Informationen und Konzepte zurück hält. Wirklich Alles zu schreiben was relevant ist würde eine Bibel ergeben. Aber es ist schlank und inhaltlich knackig. Und es hat die richtige Balance für die Intensität der ToDoS und HowToS. Das habe ich auch schon ermüdender gelesen. Er verschont einen mit ellenlangen Listen. Wohlwollen.
Was ich mir noch gewünscht...

Slater: The only thing I would add. Make SURE you plan to get you Kickstarter approval at LEAST a month before launch. DO NOT WAIT. I write from personal experience. If KS declines, the turn-around is 3 days (or more).
Especially if you have a lot of product graphics and potentially animations etc. I quote:
"Simulations of functionality, photorealistic renderings, and composited retouched photos are prohibited, even if your current prototype looks very similar to them. No exceptions."

Painful if you are on the critical path and your project has no flexibility to react to creative challenges.
