Judy M: Inspired my love of museums and mysteries. I have had my copy for 50+ years. Wouldn't part with it so bought two new copies for the brands who are just coming to the age to enjoy it

Alyssa: I bought this for my nephew. It was one of my favorites as a student.

Ima shalom: Believable children, great plot for children and a great introduction to a great museum.

Erin Mason: I loved the book just because it's good in my personal opinion and it's interesting especially the part where I get they ran away because they're not accepted or because they don't feel accepted

Kindle Customer: This book starts off as aa story of two children who run away, though one is reluctant and becomes a story of secrets and mystery. It's a tale of famous sculpture and how people can feel inside and what humans need.
I loved it.

Judy: Great book and wonderful story

davide: No murders. No sex. No right wing conspiracy theories. Just a good child's story and my granddaughter finds it interesting.

Gord Evans: I have two grandchildren approximately the age of the two main characters in this book. What a thrill to read this intriguing mystery to them, to see their eyes light up as the story unfolds and their circumstances unravel. This could easily be their story in their young minds. And Mrs Frankweiler is a piece of work! I highly recommend this story for young folks 8 to 12, and for adults looking for adventure, but totally tired of the TV and video fare we’re being made to endure these days.

SmoothSailor: This story is written from the perspective of an 80 ish year old spinster lecturing her lawyer about her
eventual meeting with two children who run away and sleep in a museum.

Having read it to my son a second time, as a 40 something adult, it still retains some magic.
The younger child has impressive verbal skills for his age.

It is a well written story, though it does drag on in sections. I simply can't imagine a statue
having as much appeal for modern children as it had in the story. I would have liked to see
a bit more emotional growth in terms of the children realizing that their lives aren't all that terrible.

I'm not sure I like the indepth discussion on keeping secrets.

This story may not appeal to todays children who are more interested in discussion on the tech
protecting the statue or looking for more imaginary adventures the children could have had pretending
they were back in various points on the historical timeline.
