Daniel Atkins: My girlfriend is one of the, if not the biggest, Harry Potter fan that I know. We saw these books while we were in London visiting the Harry Potter studio tour (I would highly recommend that as well), and she wanted to purchase them but didn't have any room to bring them back in our suitcases. Lucky for her, I found them on Amazon the same day and they were waiting for her on her front porch when we returned. I bought this one, the second book, and I just pre-ordered the 3rd book earlier this month to be delivered in October.

She can't wait to be able to read these books to our kids one day (we are engaged now). The photos, graphics, and pop-out aspects of the book are so incredibly detailed that you forget you're reading. It's like watching a movie. She absolutely loves them!

Vanessa Carroll: I bought this for my sons 8th birthday! His first copy! So beautifully illustrated with little interactive pages! What i liked about this book is…. In contrast to my generation who grew up with the Harry Potter books….for many kids now they will have seen the films before having read the books and so the pictures within really help connect the parts of the films that they have seen! My little boy watched the first film at 5 years old but is only now able to read larger txt now at 8 years old! Beautiful colllection and worth the money

Love the HP series but having the pop ups and all the extra images throughout the book makes it that much more magical!!!!

Nish ThanuNish Thanu: I have been looking into illustrated editions of books 1&2 for my son to introduce him to HP books next year when he is 9 yrs/4th grade. These illustrated editions are on the pricey end, so at $25 with the holiday season price cuts, I figured this is the cheapest it will get and ordered Book 1 of this MinaLima edition and Book 2 of the Jim Kay edition. I enjoyed Harry Potter books when I first read them as a young adult and still enjoy re-reading now, but I am by no means a Harry Potter fanatic who would buy multiple editions of the same book, so I studied the options closely to pick the best.
I was initially looking only at the Jim Kay editions as they seem to be more common and popular but thank god I checked this book out, this Sorcerer's Stone version is absolutely gorgeous. I am sure there are many parents out there in a dilemma between Minalima and Jim Kay. I will list the pros and cons and give concise details as best I can
