za: Very accessible and fun. She has a low-key way of narrating (the audiobook) that puts you at ease. Mostly this is perception/attention/mindfulness training & listening. And I LOVE that the first & most important 'spirit' she has you become aware of, get in touch with.. is your own. Extending an invitation to your own spirit, honoring it, finding out what energizes your spirit, giving yourself some agency etc.. This made her credibility rise in my opinion.

Your mileage may vary with the many guides for separate activities.. almost like Ancient Rome, with a mob of spirits available for all aspects of life. The idea might feel a little crowded or be triggering paranoia.. Good thing you have to invite most of them first! BUT for just the first chapter about honoring your own spirit, and the audio meditations alone (which are generously long) this book is worth it. And the psychological benefits of a 'support team' for those who feel alone can be strong.. it can really change your self image & confidence.

Honestly if you are doing occult or witchy work 'consorting with friendly spirits' this is pretty handy also. I can see why some authors get nervous around...

Judy Andersch: What’s the primary characteristic that makes a book good? There are definitely things I don’t like about this book. Example: there are biases and agendas that have nothing to do with the primary topic. There are also more than a handful of tangents, but when I finished this book the first time, I purchased the audio version and I couldn’t wait to start it again! Now that I’ve finished it for a second time, I still feel there’s more for me to learn and review. I’ve used the meditations and the other tools Sonia offers and I have deeply enjoyed them! If you’re not into angels and spirits, obviously skip it! But if you’re like me and love engaging with all the different energies surrounding you, this book is great!
