Shannon Verbal: Never had there been such a thorough explanation of chakras and the feelings, states, and characteristics of each one. Also the Eastern chakras are balanced with the Jungian western mind.

Rosie: Great book for merging both Eastern and Western ways of thinking. Especially for those of us in the medical/holistic field that deal with both schools of thought. Highly recommend.

Kulvinder: I have read only the first 100 or so pages since the arrival of the book, but the insights it exposes to you are profound, and will help you greatly. The Chakra system has been explained succinctlu, and Anodea gives comparative explanations for each system. Overall, the book is easy to navigate, read, and absorb, while the content is worth stopping to absorb and collect what you have read.

Dan: I’m so happy with this book. I had always dabbled here and there in researching the chakras but this book took it to another level.
It gives such a good breakdown of the energy centres, what they represent, how they develop, how to connect, heal, and recognize them in your life. My copy is highlighted DOWN the house BOOTS. And I know it’s a book I will always come back to

Amazon Customer: I finally finished reading Eastern Body Western Mind by Anodea Judith. As I am a realist and an empiricist, this book appealed to me because it dives deep into the connections of Western psychology and Eastern philosophy.
Each chapter was incredible, with many 'a-ha' moments where the murky became clear and epiphanies of greater universal understanding abounded. This is a great book, but not exactly an easy read. I would place it at the Masters level of college texts, as it is packed with powerful citations backed by sound research.
It is a generally accepted fact that roughly 85% of Americans grow up in a dysfunctional family with experiences of abuse or neglect, which means that this book applies to 85% of you who are reading this post.
It is the sum of our life experiences that form who we are and the patterns we live by. If your patterns aren't working for you and you keep finding that you often make the same life mistakes that leave you unhappy, unfulfilled and starting over, it definitely warrants a deeper look into personal healing.
If you have anything in your life that you feel is giving you trouble and you feel stuck on, I highly suggest...
