rc303: This puppy is HEAVY! It is considerably heavier and bigger than the marine/rv deep cycle battery it replaced. It barely fits in the RV battery box. Due to its size and weight it is a little trying to get it in a 5th wheel forward compartment and battery box. However, it is in and I expect this to be a big improvement in power storage over the original battery. If you are going from a standard deep cycle to this AGM, be sure and check your battery box measurements carefully before ordering. Build quality seems to be good on this battery, we will see how it holds up.

Josh: I purchased this battery to pair with my MPPT 20A charge controller from Renogy. Like many of the dozen or so questions asking about setup, I had questions. This is an AGM SLA battery and Renogy does not have a specific setting for it in their menu options (THEIR SLA SETTING IS NOT FOR THIS BATTERY). Because of this, I decided to call the manufacture of this battery to understand how to safely charge and discharge this battery. Here is what I learned for those of you wondering about how to set this up in a solar configuration (some information applies to other situations).
100% charge for this battery sits at 13-13.1v. You need to let the battery 'rest' for 4-8 hours after charging or discharging to see where the battery is actually at. 70% 12.6v. 50% 12.3v. Batteries consist of chemical reactions not electrical nothing happens instantly.
My solar application is in my SUV and the technical support person recommended I set my boost charge to 14.2v and my float charge to 13.4v. The float charge is slightly lower than the companies 'stock' float charge because the battery can get well over 100*F in the summer time inside of a car and it is important to be cautious to...

Sidicas: I planned to use these batteries to power a small sump pump with an APS1250 inverter to prevent my basement from flooding but I've found I can also power other things as needed with them.
(Winter 2019 Outage 1) No need for it to power the sump pump since it's so dry. I have two of these in parallel and I had a power outage over the winter of over 5 days. These two batteries in parallel hooked up to an APS1250 inverter/charger had no problems at all running my garage door opener, recharging my USB devices, or recharging my phone, or recharging my laptops during the entire 5 days with no power. There was also a day where the snow plow blocked off the end of my driveway and I couldn't get out to get to the office but had a meeting in an hour. Plugged in my home networking equipment (switch, fiber box, etc.) and was able to join the meeting from home. After 5 days the APS1250 indicated the state of charge of the batteries to be Red+Yellow which is 41-60% charge. The power came back on shortly after that and it took about 6 hours to charge these batteries back to full capacity with the 12V 30 amp charger in the APS1250.
(Spring 2019) Lost power during 50+ MPH winds...
