Sevans: Ordering this was easy it is very quiet, and I love the fact I can adjust the pressure when I need to, I will be ordering a second and or third one to replace an older one I have getting ready to go bad! The third will just be a backup we will see how long it lasts.

Mr. PersnicketyMr. Persnickety: The pump works great and is very quiet at full power. If you plan on using the check valves and air stones good luck! In the first pic you see I used pvc glue because the air was leaking out the connector and not coming through the stones. It still didn't work . Second pic the check valves were leaking air at the seam of the casing. The pvc glue did work on those. The plastic used for the fittings crumbles when you touch it. It's very brittle. I tried to contact the seller through Amazon and there was no option only a full return. I would just like the air stones and the check valves replaced but oh well!

Naias: Update, I've had this now for a about 3 weeks. It has gotten louder & pushes less air than when it first arrived. It's fine for my air stone, though not pushing as much air there as it was originally either. But isn't pushing nearly as much water through my sponge filter as it was a couple of weeks ago. When I first got it, I only had the dial set about half way up. Now it's all the way up & still not moving as much water. I am going to rinse the ceramic filter media & shake it around a bit & see if that helps. I'll update again if it does but I'm not super hopeful.
It isn't a ton louder, but enough to be noticeable & it hasn't been long. I'm going to build a little noise box for it & I'm sure that will eliminate the sound but I'm bummed to have to go through that effort.
The change in noise doesn't upset me that much. It makes sense that it won't be forever "freshly oiled quiet". It's the apparent change in air pressure that's concerning me. This air pump is powering two of the most important things in my tank to keep it livable for my fish. The air stone (I'm not using the included air stone but one I had previous) & the filter.
