S. Meade: I've been using key cables like these for years on my keychains. They are so much easier to use than the traditional ring. Easy to get keys off of your keychain simply by unscrewing them. The different colors allow me to distinguish between keys, and, they're also pretty.
These are a little shorter than others I have used (4") and it really doesn't matter much except that it makes it a tiny bit harder to bring the ends together. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because when screwing the ends together, the screw mechanism isn't that smooth. That may be a function of how short these are. But they are still good to use.
I used this in conjunction with another product: a mini carabiner clip. I run the cable with key attached through the loop here and attach it to my keychain with the carabiner. This allows me to easily detach the key to my mailbox without having to remove my keychain from the ignition of my car to get my mail. It works well for me.
