Kindle Customer: It is the turn of the sheriff Albert Preston and Susanna the waitress to fall in love, but not without hiccups along the way. I did like the main characters of Susanna and Albert, but did get slightly fed up with her hang up about men not being faithful, especially when she had ALL the examples of her friends' loving marriages.
I could not understand also why Albert would not tell Susanna the truth about his first wife when he trusted her, but I suppose it all makes a story!

Julie Morales: This book was entertaining. I'm loving this series and dreading the last book, because it's been such fun getting to know all the characters. This author does a fantastic job developing characters not only in the book where they're particularly featured, but also through the rest of the series. This book focuses on sheriff Albert Preston and town resident Susanna Robinson. Susanna works at the restaurant owned by Hannah, wife of the deputy sheriff Thom, whose story was featured in a previous book.
At the beginning of the book, we meet Dalton Babcock, who, it turns out, grew up in the same town as Susanna, and the two are about to come unexpectedly face-to-face with Albert in the middle. The problem? Everyone in town knows Albert is sweet on Susanna, except Susanna, it seems. She has feelings for him but doesn't think he could possibly feel the same for her. Then, when she begins to think they might have a chance, Dalton appears and could potentially ruin everything...if there was anything to ruin.
To complicate things further, Albert and Susanna each carry their own secret that, if the other was to find out, could destroy any chance of a relationship ever getting off the...

Roberta Folino: Caroline does it again. I love this book. Under a Falling Star is a bit hard for me to review. Why you ask? Because I loved so many things about it. It is hard to decide where to start. In a way, it was like a good mystery where you had to wait till the very end to see where it goes and then it is a big surprise. I really like that and believe me, it takes a special author to pull it off as well as Caroline did. Her characters are so real. Each one has such a special story to tell. I had too many favorites to choose just one but there is one very sexy one that makes you want to know him a whole lot better. Not saying. If you have been following this series, Caroline shows how some of her characters have developed up until this point. I love how she portrays the children in her books. Maddie is growing up and getting along quite well. I recommend Under a Falling Star highly. If you have not been following this series, go back and read them. Each one can stand alone but I always love starting at the beginning. She has left this one fairly open ended and I can hardly wait until life continues for this community with it's friends and family. Write, write, write, Caroline. I can't hold...

Penny V.: This was another her great book by one of my favorite authors, Caroline Fyffe! It's book 4 in her Prairie Hearts series. It starts off with action right away when a train derails due to some boulders on the track. The town bands together to rescue the wounded & care for them, while interrupting a wedding reception. I enjoyed reading about their rescue efforts, & the handling of the one million dollars that was being transported on the train.
I also loved reading about Sheriff Albert & Susanna's unfolding love story, & the secrets each was hiding. Then after the train wreck, there was the added attention of Dalton, who was one of the guards of the million dollars. He knew Susanna back in her hometown, & starts giving her attention, which causes jealousy from Sheriff Albert.
I loved this story, as I have loved every single book that this author has written! It kept my attention, & was hard to put down! I wanted to know if it would end as I hoped it would! I had actually preordered this book, but cancelled my order when I received an offer to read an ARC of this book. I love this author! She has several other series which are worth reading too!

AnnieS: Although, Under a Falling Star is the fourth book in the Prairie Hearts Series, it can certainly be enjoyed as a stand-alone title. That being said, I encourage you to read the previous three stories. It was Where the Wind Blows (Prairie Hearts - Book 1) that made me a Caroline Fyffe fan. Since 2012, I have read 14 of her historical fiction titles and haven’t been disappointed.
It was wonderful to once again visit with favorite characters from the previous three books; Chase Logan, Thom Donovan, Ivan, Charlie and Maddie Axelrose, Frank Lloyd and Mrs. Hollyhock.
I really felt for Susanna and Albert’s plight. As readers, it is easy to sit back and think, “Tell the secret”. Then we remember that not all people are open-minded and forgiving. It is also really difficult to know the appropriate time to share certain information. Relationships aren’t always easy. That is when the empathy returns.
I am just glad that regardless of their past hurts that they were willing to give each other a chance. It really is amazing that Albert didn't end up distrusting all women after what his wife pulled and that Susanna didn’t grow into a man-hating shrew after the...
