Nova5: It’s so adorable. I saw this book at my son’s house my granddaughter 5 months old seemed to enjoy the pics so much I sent it to her 12 month old cousin.

Morley: We bought this book after loving the Story of Rock, sadly this one comes up short. The rhymes are forced in this one, and the pages don't flow as well as with the last book.

Josette Marie: I bought this for my then 18-month old niece, and she fell in love with this book. She’s now 21-months and still adores it. According to her mother, she goes, “Pop, pop, pop!” - her way of saying she wants to read this book, and then after she reads it to her, she says, “Again?!”
Looks like her aunt and uncle have indoctrinated her into the world of pop music ;)
The book takes toddlers thru the history of pop, featuring cute illustrations of iconic pop stars. Since it’s such a hit, I want to gradually gift her with the other books in this series! Something to note - this book doesn’t star Michael Jackson, the King of Pop! It has a lot of pop stars from my time, the 90s and early-mid 2000s, and does feature Prince, but not the King of Pop himself… which you think would be worth including. Maybe they couldn’t get the rights? Interesting. If you can forgive the authors for that, it’s still a great book.

Melissa: Still gave it 5 stars for cuteness, but it focuses a lot more on post 90s pop than earlier artists. The story of rock had more variety in showcasing the decades in my opinion!

Stef: We have all the other The Story of books and we love them all. They are some of our favourite books to read before bed. Although I understand the probable reason on leaving Michael Jackson from this book it also is sad to me to have a book about pop rock that doesn’t mention the “King of Pop”. I would very much recommend getting this series for your littles if you’re a music lover that wants to introduce music history to your kids. They also make great gifts for little ones as well. I’ve purchased 3 copies of the Story of Rap.

Summer McNamee: Such a cute book, literally only complaint is Michael Jackson “the king of pop” isn’t included.
