Sophie: I found it slightly strange that the book completely glossed over the fact that John Lennon was killed. I appreciate it's a children's book but I thought the topic could have been addressed in an age appropriate way (look at Disney for example, someone dies in most of their films, usually in tragic circumstances!). So for me it didn't read very logically and just sort of came to an abrupt end which didn't make much sense. My son had learned about John Lennon in school (including that he was murdered) so we had a wider discussion about the real facts after reading the book. Feels like a missed opportunity. But my son enjoyed the book anyway so still 4 stars

Brenda: This book is truly amazing. Being a Librarian in a Lutheran School ~ this book is one of my favorites to read & share the short life of John Lennon. Who remembers watching Monday Night Football when it was interrupted by Howard Cosell that John Lennon had been gunned down? Children's books are so important & this one defintely belongs in your library. Great artise & very moving facts about our beloved John Lennon!
