Carey: I bought this book to help me understand my new horse. He’s a 4 year old QH/Draft cross that had a questionable history prior to me getting him. The book is well written and easy to read. Gave me better insight into my horse.

Amazon Customer: Rashid is a master. This is clear from his soft, curious, flexible approach to a problem a horse is presenting to the human. His approach is non judgemental and we can learn a lot from his approach to earning trust with horses and translate it into how we deal with each other!

Melissa Teunis: Once again an inspirational read. Not an instructional guide but a heart check for me. It's that moment when you realise it's not about the horse, its about you. Thank you.

Angela Muskat: Another great book from Mark Rashid. For me personally his storytelling books give me an incredible amount of insight and awareness. This is not a how to book. This book is about gaining more awareness, changing perspective, dropping “right & wrong”, and not being afraid of making mistakes. It’s about asking questions and always looking at the horses point of view; about connection rather than techniques. Like all of Mark’s books, this book has definitely changed “a couple” of things in me, my life and the way I see and interact with my horses. I am beyond grateful for Mark’s work!

Seattle SueSeattle Sue: It has been fascinating to follow the author as his relationship with horses changes over the years. I've read several of his books and even took my first horse to one of his clinics many years ago. This book showed up just as I was restarting a horse. How Fortuitous!
The book tells stories that are enjoyable enough to read on their own. They give insight to animal behaviors and human interactions. For someone who has a soft feel with a horse, this book will challenge you to take it to a new level.
Even after studying his methods for many years, I've learned from this book. The photography is excellent. This is one book that I will likely reread as the information has the opportunity to sink in.
