Michael R Evans: After reading this book, I am interested to see how all of the protests throughout the nation pan out in the next 2 to 3 weeks. With the rates of infections and deaths sore because of all the people in close proximity? If not, that would indicate that all of these lockdowns have been for naught.

Tall 26: This was a well researched, balanced unbiased read. I would recommend it to anyone genuinely interested in truth over fear based reporting with an agenda. There’s no agenda here. It’s simply a report of the facts followed by the obvious questions that should have been being discussed throughout the “pandemic”. But as you know, Alan’s voice was silenced. A read of his book shows that this was a clear attempt to silence “unapproved” narratives. There’s nothing conspiracy like in this, he denies nothing. He simply offers what we desperately needed. Common sense, truthful analysis, wisdom and measured response. All of which were sorely lacking and are sorely lacking to this day.

H. Tenenbaum: This book is a must read for anyone interested in the data related to COVID, lockdowns and the impact of both on our lives. We and our leaders are being advised by some very smart people but they are focused almost solely on the virus. There has been little to no attention as to what are the impacts of the various lockdowns on the overall health and well-being of society including life-years lost as a result of either or both COVID and lockdowns; the latter being much more harmful! We have been terrorized by sensationalist reporting and headlines as have our politicians and as a result we are committing tremendous self-injury on a scale never seen before. This booklet begins the process leading to a much better understanding of the realities surrounding this current public health crisis. I should also point out that the writing is of extremely high quality and as such it is also highly understandable!

Consumer: The book never denies the impact of lockdowns. The book questions the impact of lockdowns. Did the lockdowns in the state of New York and New Jersey lead to more COVID-19 deaths? I think the facts show that locking down people in nursing homes with other nursing home residents led to the deaths of thousands of people in New York and New Jersey. The book presents the facts.

The numbers are wrong. A simple calculator shows that the 60 percent is false (Talking about the carrier)
The numbers are correct. The numbers are in the actual articles and true if you read it. The rate was like 59.4% if you calculate it. There were other data that showed an even lower infection rate. I read the article.

The author points out the mortality rate of the virus. It is approaching that of the flu in the US if you adjust for things like deaths caused by co-housing people with and without COVID-19 in nursing homes. The point is it's not 3% it's approaching something like 0.2% now with adjustments. Are they the correct adjustments? That's for you to decide. You need the facts to decide how we should compute the mortality rate.

RaRa: I would agree with another reviewer that it is expensive for it's length, but I would rather have quality than quantity. It is well written.

As for the reviewer "tobymalfoy", who wrote "This book is full of bias and unfounded speculation", it would seem they are critiquing their own review, and not the document. Please give examples to support your accusations.

A F.: Reasonable effort, but gets a lot wrong

Alex Berenson’s pamphlet argues that we have been overly concerned about the Covid-19 pandemic. He has three main concerns. First, that the severity of the pandemic was exaggerated from the beginning; second, that the disease is not very lethal; and third, that the virus kills mostly elderly people who are about to die anyway.

Although I wouldn’t say he’s completely wrong, still I take issue with each of these concerns.

First, the severity of the pandemic. Mr. Berenson comments on the models. But it is important to understand what the models were. Mostly (not entirely) they were theoretical models of what would happen if there were no reaction to the virus—that is, if governments and health officials and individuals completely ignored the virus. But of course those models, and their spread through the media, did change the behavior of governments, health officials and individuals—exactly as the modelers intended, and the spread (and severity, see below) of the disease was blunted. Travellers_Dorfen: Der Author sucht die Originalquellen raus und verlinkt diese im Text. Das ist besonders praktisch in der Kindle Version, weil man gleich im Original die Aussagen prüfen kann.
Quellen sind Regierungsseiten, Tageszeitungen und auch Twittermeldungen von Politikern oder Experten, beginnend mit Mitte März.

Die Zahlen und Fakten werden sachlich kommentiert und mit anderen Zahlen, z.B. Todesfällen durch andere Ursachen verglichen.
Jeder kann sich dann selbst seine Meinung bilden.

Gerade, wenn man das Wort COVID-19 nicht mehr hören kann, lohnt es sich, das 1. Kapitel von ca 20 Seiten zu lesen. Das ist noch erträglich, und die Quellenverweise unersetzlich.

Die Geschichte von COVID-19 ist noch nicht zu Ende, und ich bin auf die weiteren Kapitel sehr gespannt.

Übrigens: Ich bin ein großer Fan von Amazon seit > 10 Jahren. Es war enttäuschend, dass Amazon versucht hat, das Buch zu unterdrücken. Ich hoffe sehr, das kommt nicht mehr vor, weil Amazon ist echt praktisch.
