elisabetta bulletti: Uso la canna per trainare dal kayak, per me va bene. Certo non è una monopezzo da 300 euro ma il suo lavoro lo fa. Anche la lunghezza è giusta per l'uso in kayak.

I've been using ugly stiks since I started fishing I have a 6' medium for bass small catfish ECT, just got my 6' light pole along with a ugly tuff reel and man I can tell you this is going to be my favorite set up. I have a okuma 5' ultralight with a okuma ceymar c-10 and i would say this 6' light ugly stik is the best of both worlds, has back bone and sensitivity ! I know this setup is going to last, I'll be slaying some trout in a few days to stock up my freezer and to have some fresh fish. Btw I love ugly sticks moto on filling freezers instead of Instagram pictures.

Sandy: Ugly stick is far from it good looking rod guys at the lakes i fish commen it, I bought the 7 foot rod, it's well balanced & light easy to fish all day, cast well I use 14lb line puts a feeder out 30/40 yards no bother, small roach even makes the tip bend, good fishing in bushes & over head trees,
Only cons, would have thought it would ofcome with a bag,

C Kowalski: Great rod that is incredibly sensitive, casts well and is comfortable enough to use all day. Only let down by the seller who twice delivered the rod to me without the advertised Cordura Tube to keep the rod safe when not in use.

Kevin E.: Have an Ugly Stik boat rod already, so knew what to expect. Was not disappointed.
An extremely sturdy and capable rod. Quite striking looking colour scheme too. Plenty has been written already about this virtually unbreakable rod which represents excellent value for money, so all I will say is believe it!
Has a nice action and can cast my most commonly used lures a good distance. I use mine with lures typically in the 20-30 gram category, with an elderly Mitchell fixed spool loaded with 10lb mono line and have caught Bass, Mackerel and Pollack from both boat and whilst coastal rock fishing.
Only criticism - it comes without a bag. For a few £’s more, this would be a worthwhile addition.
Also, an observation rather than criticism - the reel seat is relatively small and some reels (the foot) may not fit.

anthony mihovilovich: i really love this brand of rods , i wish they still made the Shakespeare 702med. 7 footer, this is the replacement of that rod, the only different with the 702 med, to the GX2 med is 4#s different in the line rating the 7footer is rated for 6-15 # , and 1 more is med. heavy 8-20/ ? i did an experiment to the 2 pc. rods, in the front half of the tube i spray a 2 part foam onto the rod holding the opening forcing the foam to go forward to the tip, then listen to the foam pass gas , then released the thhole opening til it hardened up . did the same to the lower half of the rod, let it harden then capped both ends with an #2 pencil eraser to plug the holes super gluing it to the erasers, let dry, the next morning went fishing, caught a 3# trout on the line , the rod had still the fast action on the tip but smooth!, it bent at the 4 th eye and forward making the rod have more backbone in pulling on the fish, . i think in time that this should cure the problems that i see with rods breaking , the ugly stick is dam near hard as hell to break , but did the same to a Goture rod, and it improved the preformance of the rod 100%, . the Goture rod are said the break easy , i dont think so?....
