It dosnt throw even a fraction of the sparks as the 1/2 inch one. I got a 1/2 inch one and it threw way more sparks than any of my other ferro rods so I thought this usco one would be just as good. Needless to say I’m a little disappointed.

It is small but it won’t wear quickly started a fire one strike with procamptek tinder just remember when scraping even pressure using the striker as a plow to remove material from the rod. Lightweight and great striker make this a must buy

Bought this a few months ago and haven’t used it cause it was soo tiny only 1/4” ferro rod I have been using my larger ones. This doesn’t throw that much spark and the striker is garbage tried lighting some fat wood shavings and it couldn’t even do that my cheap ferro rods can do a better job my advice stay away from these far away if possible

付属のストライカーでは、残念ながら大きな花火は期待できません。
初心者の私自身の腕の無さなのかもしれません。
ただ、ナイフの背を利用すると、力が入りやすいので大きな火花が簡単に出来ます。
メタルマッチを購入する方は、焚火を目的にされるのではないかと想像します。
だとしたら、ブッシュクラフト向けのナイフを所持されてる方は、ナイフの利用するのも手だと思います。
所有している「Moraknaiv Eldris Neck Knife」の小さなナイフでも、握る部分が太く安心して素早く擦ることが出来るので、大きな火花を飛ばし火口に簡単に火が移ります。

Way smaller than I thought. Was hoping for a 5/16 or 8mm which is what fits most ferro rod holders on knife sheaths. Works well & the striker is excellent. 4 stars but would have given 3.5

This is easily my favorite ferrocerium rod/striker combo. I’ve used MANY others. It’s easy to produce reliable, abundant, effective sparks to light tinder. I’ll be buying more of these to give as gifts.

フェロセリウムは若干硬めなので、付属のストライカーでは鈍なので
サンドペーパーでちょっと研げば火花も良く飛びます。
価格に対してフェロセリウムの量が少なめなので、主にポーチに忍ばせて置く用にしてます
ストライカーが錆びてるとか言うレビューがあったけれど、そんなもん磨けば良いだけで
いずれガシガシやってりゃ傷も付くし、そっから錆びますw
ガシガシ擦るもんに、なんの期待をしてるのか理解できないけど。
初心者は過剰な品質を要求しすぎかとw
