Gyakusetsu: I used this marker to black-out the outer decorative fabric on a google home based smart speaker. The device only came in a heather charcoal and I wanted it to be black to match my wireless charger. Initially I started coloring in the fabric and it looked really streaky, but it does spread after a few minutes no matter how many passes you go over it with and fully evens out as it dries. The results were great!!! My smart speakers are now a dark, even black color and I didn't have to reupholster them. Can't say how well it holds up to washing because I am not washing these devices, but they've been black for 2 months now and haven't faded by just sitting there.
Will definitely keep this around in case I get any light or faded spots on black fabrics for touch up.
My obtrusive thoughts keep me wanting to color in all the fabrics in my house black.... but I have so far resisted.

Vivyen Dupuy: Super helpful for small bleach spots on black fabric. I would say if you have a larger area it might look colored in but small areas tend to blend well into original color nice.

Heather R.: I use this to cover bleach spots on my clothes (I’m a hairdresser). It does initially cover but this doesn’t last through a wash

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: I got this marker today and have been playing around w it with an old shirt. I love it it’s easy to use has perfect thickness it’s great. But a few minor things is it can bleed through clothes, so don’t press too hard or put something under the shirt. I haven’t washed in washer or dryer yet but I did wash with water and soap, it smudged a tiny bit but it also wasnt dry. do not rub it or wash until it’s dry but other than that I LOVE THIS MARKER. Also! I draw designs on my ipad then place it under the shirt and trace it, the bleed through doesn’t effect the ipad!

alokaa: You need to HEAT TREAT it if you want it to STAY and last longer ON BLACK CLOTHES. I tried without heat treating and it fades and washes away after just 1 wash. So don't follow by the instructions on the product.

Mariana D: Used this marker to hide white speckles caused by a bleach accident on a black skirt. It didn't work. The fabric is a blend of 80% cotton and 20% polyester. I applied the dye and at first it seemed to be working.... It covered the white dots quite well; but it lasted only to the first wash. After washing the skirt on a quick wash, warm water program, the dye came off I'd say 90%.
I guess it dependes on the type of fabric you have if it works or not. Unfortunately the producer does not specify the fibers this dye works for.

Ok61400: This is a savior. My husband developed a hobby of painting the walls in our house during the pandemic and somehow I ended up with paint and primer all over my clothes. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get the white spots out. I decided to try covering up the spots with permanent marker. Unfortunately the permanent marker washed out, but this marker has gone through many washes. It is truly permanent.

Lauren: I read the other reviews about this marker washing out even though the directions say no heat setting is required. I decided to give it a shot but chose to heat set the marker into the fabric before washing. It didn’t fade at all! This marker works great and is easy to use especially for lettering and fine lines. Just google how to heat set fabric markers if you want this to stay on the fabric!
