Shannon C: This kit came with an awful lot more than I've come to expect. Just small thoughtful things, like plastic aprons, a tiny funnel, a tiny scooper. I feel as though it was money well spent.
That said, there are a couple of things I wish it included - first...a true green. The pics show a nice kelly green in the projects, but no. It's chartreuse. That brings me to my 2nd thing - the instructions for the amount of water were unclear. It simply said to fill with water, which I did...but the colors ended up fairly watery. I think I should have used half as much.
There is a second set of powdered dye, which I assumed was for a 2nd batch, doubling the value. In retrospect, maybe I should have used all of it in one bottle.

Amazon Customer: We used these to make shirts. I wish the powder for the colors had come already in the bottles (I’m pretty sure that’s what it said somewhere on the box..) but we had to carefully pour them each in. There was a funnel but only one for the many colors, which I guess could be washed and dried in between each color but that seems a lot of hassle. Pouring it carefully wasn’t too hard. I was surprised at how much of the color washed out of the shirts, even the shirt that sat for 24 hours. I wish the colors had turned out brighter but it was cool all the same.

Robert Fulmer: I followed instructions. I was disappointed the colors didn't stay vibrant. After some research on the internet I think an important step was omitted in the directions. It seems you are supposed to soak the item you plan to dye in water with soda ash?? I would buy this kit again but add the soaking in soda ash solution. Just having the material damp didn't prevent fading in the rinse. One thing I did like about this kit is the dye comes dry and you mix what you need and can save the unused dry dye for another time.
