PaPaMonkeys: This has been very efficient at catching bugs nearby and reducing our discomfort from them. I will say that there have been times when I have gotten a bee or wasp and they stick and short out and keep zapping until I have unplugged it and cleaned it. We hung it from a Shepherds hook.

Amazon Customer: We moved to Florida this summer and all was well (as far as mosquitos) until about 5 days ago. Then we we all of a sudden swarmed by THOUDANDS of mosquitos! I mean thousands. When we opened our door to let the dogs in, literally a thousand would fly into our house. We would spend an hour sucking them up into the vacuum cleaner. After 5 days of this I decided to check into a zapper. Today was the first day we used it and we turned it on before we went out for dinner. When we returned home it was dark and mosquitos were out. EXCEPT, at our house, I swear at least 95% of the swarming evil insects were GONE! I could not believe it. So I am so very impressed with the performance so far. And it is SOOOOOOOO satisfying to hear those little blood suckers get zapped! If anything happens with the performance, I'll update. Oh, and another plus of this model is that they sent 2 replacement bulbs for free. Great value.

Bree B.Bree B.: This is the second unit of the same zapper we purchased last year. This works as expected and zaps those annoying flying little bugs, insects, gnats, mosquitos, flies, etc. I like that it came with replacement bulbs. I tested the bulbs that came with it, and it works. I was able to use one of the bulbs to replace the busted bulb in our old zapper. They claim that the bulb lasts up to 8,000 - 10,000 hours but it doesn't. The life span of the bulb is a little less than that. We leave ours on most of the day (almost 24/7) to keep our house clear of these nasty little bugs.
