jody S.: We used it on kitchen concrete countertops
Everything is sticking, coffee cups, cutting boards etc.
Pieces of concrete are chipping off .
I don’t know what to do.

D-MoneyD-Money: On my semi polished surface (2000 grit) it worked more as a protective layer and didn’t really penetrate, which is what I was hoping for. Some said it penetrates, I guess if you haven’t polished the surface so much. Waxed after and it’s quite the finish now. Very happy. Did like 6 coats and barely used 1/6 of the bottle on approx. 24sq ft.

A: I used this sealant for my diy concrete counters - it’s amazing!!! I did about 10 coats and so far it’s doing a great job repelling water and oil. There are tiny oil drops that permeated the counters but that was my fault for not cleaning the counters after making sausages! Just make sure to do a quick clean following cooking or dishes and you’ll be fine!

Bret: I needed a sealer for slate that would protect it from our harsh Wisconsin winters. I installed slate to our hydronically heated stoop several years ago - using what was supposedly 'frost proof' slate - and sealed with a product from Superior (penetrating matte sealer) which didn't alter its original appearance. Nonetheless, the slate listellos I used on the leading edge of the tread began to shale off and fail after year 3, undermining the structural support of several tiles. That resulted in bad things, which I then spent a couple of days repairing, and was determined to avoid in the future.
The first thing that was apparent to me is that the listellos which failed were a very light colored - almost vanilla - slate. It's clearly considerably softer than the darker version. I replaced the failed pieces with denser (darker) slate. After several days of grout curing, I was ready to apply Wet Look from Black Diamond.
I was concerned about a sealer overly darkening my tile and grout, but enough other reviews convinced me that wasn't going to happen. I used a large pored sponge for application. The sealer goes on a milky blue, which aids in coverage and prevention of...

kelsi toolsonkelsi toolson: Super happy with this product! I was skeptical because it was significantly cheaper than any other products I looked into, but it worked just as advertised. I used it to seal my concrete table which is roughly 16 square feet. I used the "alternate" applications method based on all these reviwes it seemed like the best option, I'm glad I did! It was super easy to apply. I used a mini foam roller from home depot to apply the sealer and that worked really well. I did a total of 4 coats, waiting 30 minutes between each coat, and ended up used up about 40% of the bottle. Dedicate an afternoon to sealing because it's not something you can start and then stop halfway through.
It does darken the look of your concrete slightly with each application, I love the way the finished product looks when its dry. The perfect amount of sheen without being shiny!
The only reason this product lost one star for me is because while it is 100% water proof, my laptop has a wonky screw on the bottom and when I dragged it across the table it did scrape off some of the sealer. I applied a wax finish after this happened which did the trick, now if anything scratches that I can just re-apply and...

Michael R. Norman: I used Tuff Duck for the first time today. I was both surprised and extremely happy with the results. First the surprised. We had a kitchen remodel about five years ago. We made the decision to have concrete counters installed. After the installation the workers "sealed " the counters with a concrete sealer. They stated "this is all you need to do' besides cleaning them, and they will look great. I also noticed they hardly used any sealer. They would put a little on the corner of the rag and rub it on a very large area of counter top. For all I know, it could have been water in that can, because the counter was dull and didn't appear to be any different then before. A year or so later we did try another product (maybe the same as what they used) and used more product. It was a bit better when we got finished, but still looked dull and lackluster. So we started a search for the "right" product. I chose Tuff Duck after reading the hype on Amazon. When I received the product and read the directions, I thought it was going to be a huge job to do this. The hardest part was finding a temporary spot for everything on the counter. This is where the suprise kicks in.The aplication was...
