Konstantin Khrapko: I tested many brands, this one is way ahead of all. Hiking boots were repaired with this sustained at least 10 years after repair (eventually the sole wore out but the repair remained intact). Highly recommended. I use it for various repairs including slippers etc.

Montana Mike: Had cracks in my roper soles. I was amazed at how well this works and the durability. Worth a few bucks to buy more time out of cracked boot soles

T_Shrugged: A funneling nozzle would be helpful... wood skewers worked well for the application. The most important aspect is the adhesive seems to be adhering well between the leather boot and the sole.

Moni: If you use it on the sole ONLY!!!! it will be fine. I do not have info how long a reglued sole will last. Time will tell but it looks as advertised.

If you use it on any patches on the shoe itself you will likely ruin the look.
I tried to fix small patches on the rubber rand on my La Sportiva ... which is the EXACT SAME shoe as shown on the packaging!!! The result was such a mess that I actually decided to buy a replacement from the same model. After years of use my "best friend" in tough adventures was forcibly retired because of a mistake I made.

Problem is - this thing stays liquid during the gluing process. You need to use something to keep the pieces together for over 8 hours!

I used tape and that caused leakage that messed up the leather. Looks bad.

You need to use something like large clamps where you can precisely adjust the placement and pressure.

Why did I not buy a glue that dries then is pressed together? Well, because they sell it in giant cans and I only needed a teaspoon :(

rpg: Excellent glue for the rubber soles. Made multiple repairs. The glue held.

Christina Hotz: This stuff has given my boots SOOO much of a longer life. I'm a heel scuffer despite by best efforts at times, and I've been able to rebuild my boot heels. Some little bits have peeled away from the edges, but my boots don't leak and I love it so much. Also lasts a long time in the freezer. Hadn't opened it for a year and used it this fall and still worked great!

I'd tried shoo goo before and no luck, but this stuff is amazing. Make sure follow the directions though - rubbing alcohol as surface prep is vital!

C. A. HooksC. A. Hooks: I must preface this by saying that I'm not a shoe repair professional, but I have done extensive repair and reconstruction on every pair of boots I've owned in the last 20 years. Most of my focus in this text will be the gross reattachment of outsoles. I will be using the example of my own boots, which specifically are of a cemented construction with a fiberboard insole, but no proper midsole. Construction types vary, so some interpretation may be required. In this text, "insole" is a permanent part of the shoe. Removable padded or contoured parts are referred to as "inserts".

Regarding outsole reattachment, I have used various products available through retail (contact cements, E6000, etc), as well as some urethane sealants I've mixed and thinned for the task. Contact cements work great on boots with proper midsoles, but trying to glue stiff cup soles back on a cemented construction just seems easier with something that can fill the tucks in the leather. Neither Shoe Goo or E6000 were as tenacious or stiff as this product. Time will tell if Aquaseal SR endures, but I'm impressed so far.

I find it hard to believe that an observant user can experience immediate...

bassetluv: I bought this product to seal the seams on a pair of late fall/early winter boots so they wouldn't leak during wet or slushy weather, as the seams were starting to wear out. Treated the boots, wore them a few days later, and the seams are perfectly sealed. Not a hint of wetness gets in, and I even kicked around my dog's soccer ball a couple of times with them on...seams held perfectly.

The only 'cons' I'd have about this product is that it does have a very strong odour (as I imagine many of these glues would have), so apply it in a well-ventilated area. And I struggled a bit in getting the gel onto the seams in a thin, clean line, as it this particular one doesn't come with an applicator. Very small cons though, as this product works incredibly well; once it adheres and cures, it stays put, and it does what it says it will do. Well worth the money spent to save expensive footwear.

Heather: This shoe repair glue is super sticky and smelly, but it saved a pair of shoes so it is totally worth it. I was able to fix a toe cap that was popping off a pair of my son's runners and the shoes look as good as new. I also used it to reattach velcro that had started to come off a strap, and it is still holding strong more than a month later. I love that fact that the glue is flexible and stays soft, so it doesn't change the way the shoe wears and feels. This is a super handy product for anyone looking to do minor shoe repairs at home.

Astra: I have used this product to glue a heel sole back on a shoe and it worked perfectly. I also rebuilt the soles of two pairs of shoes at the heels where the sole was wearing at an angle. I am really impressed at how well that worked. It adhered perfectly and the new part is just as tough or tougher than the original sole. I store it in the freezer between uses as per the instructions and there seems to be no problem with it drying out. 100% satisfied.
