Jose G.: First I will say the one negative I have. The instructions were not quite as detail when it comes to securing the front crossbar to the rails with the locking mechanisms. To avoid any frustration during that part of the installation, make sure to back out both tension screws all the way out. This will allow the cross bar to seat flush on the rails, and it will allow you to slide the locking mechanisms into place. I found that using a rubber mallet was necessary to drive the locks into position.

Now that all the negative is out of the way. Butly the cover! You won't regret it. I have own a trifold hard top, but it didn't work for my needs. And removing it from the vehicle weighting 80 lbs wasn't too fan either. It got old quick.

I owned a rack, it was heavy and not aerodynamically friendly. So that didn't work for me either.

Now this soft roll, is mounted and can stay there for the rest of its useful life. It is much lighter than hartops or racks, and takes little to no space when folded giving you a true full access to your bed.

James B. Hay: The instructions to assemble the cover are not useful. Use one of the Youtube videos to make the task easy.
The only negative for the product is that it protrudes a bit from the side of the truck.
Overall, this is a good value.

R scott: I don’t write reviews a few days or weeks after a purchase. The cover has been installed now for one year. Purchased because I wanted a soft cover that would allow me to use the entire bed. Installation was straightforward and easy, took about half hour to complete. Cover is tight and clean. Over time, the soft top has stretched slightly causing the velcro to not match up as exact as when new. Did make slight adjustments to the bed rails that relieved most of that issue and it was easy to fix. I have only slight water intrusion into the bed at the car wash and near zero during rain. One year later the cover is holding its color and look. No fading or wear. Most of my travel is highway and I average around 27k miles this year so the cover has been exposed to a significant amount of time at highway speeds. I always leave the cover deployed and only roll up if using the bed and still the cover has zero evidence of wear. Truck is garage kept but cover is exposed during working hours. I live in a part of Texas that has high summer heat and significant spring wind and thunderstorms and the cover remains in excellent condition. My only complaint is when driving in strong (30+ mph)...

greg dawe: Could have been an inch longer, however, front and back seals make contact, so should be fine. Quality seems good, will update if any issues. Overall I'm pleased, and it looks good. Install is easy, recommend watching a video if it's your first time... opposed to instructions.

But unfortunately once I installed the actual tonneau cover fabric unrolled it clicked it into place I discovered damage at the end of the fabric over the tailgate which was extremely disappointing to say the least..😔 I will be exchanging this product

Slicktek50Slicktek50: I got this because I saw this as easy to open and close. Not just another unsecured soft top. It is easy to open (1 handed). You do have to secure it when open with the straps provided. A hook with the hard rubber hook nibs on the outer shell that have to be hooked into the nibs and then separately connected to the other part of the strap that is secured to the metal rails. You have to do this whenever it is rolled up open. There are metal bars under the black vinyl leather type shell.
- But it was only partly easy to install up to the point when I fitted the rails and had to stop because the last holes were in the wrong place. Had to contact the Customer Service people to get the right rails. That took an extra week. I had to call back to get them to ship them. They were nice and busy.

When you put the rails on make sure you measure correctly as stated on the generic instructions. These instructions are written for 2016 to 2022 Tacoma's. When looking at the youtube clips online, they vary because of the different types of brackets used over the years. So make sure of the year and bed size you order.

Rick A: Took a little while to figure out how to mount it onto my truck. Instructions provided are pretty good and can easily be supplemented with a myriad of YouTube videos specific to your truck. One of the rails was missing a cap cover, I contacted Truxedo and got excellent service from them, one was sent out and arrived via courier a few days later.
The cover looks very durable, a neighbour has had one on his truck for several years and it still looks like new.
