Northwind foodie: let me begin , that I am a fan of Travelpro products...my friends who are flight attendants got me hooked on them. I bought this for those long weekend trips ..it semes small. But it is mighty and holds a lot. its lightweight and built strong and actually I can pack for a good five days ..I roll all my clothes. And did I mention all the pockets? omg they are wonderful. Love the exterior pocket for keys, passport ect..if your considering it..buy it you'll love it!!

Miss Helen Wass: Excellent design to use as an under seat bag, the way the top opens you can easily see and access everything inside. Also has a strap to put it over the handle of your suitcase if you are taking two carry one.
Very good quality fabric, feels well constructed with quality zips etc.,

Joseph: The media could not be loaded. I like that it counts as a personal item and can supplement my carry -on. I don't find the internal organizing the best and the design is a little boring. Very well built, hower.
Update:
I took this on a recent trip to Quebec. I had no issues fitting it under the seat and used it as my "personal item". Unfortunately I didn't find the bag very practical, the layout isn't the best and it can't fit much at all. Obviously there's only so much space you can create with an item that's this small but I feel I would have been better off with a medium size messenger bag or backpack. The water bottle holder is also quite small and barely fit my medium sized corsikle.

• Deep pockets (def fit a weekends worth of clothes and essentials in here)
• Comes with shoulder strap with reinforced cushion for comfort
• Velcro slot on back of bag secures it to the adjustable handle of carry on
Cons:
• As I have never had a problem bringing this bag with me as my personal bag in combination with my carry on, it may be too big for some. (When I travel I only bring this bag and a carry on, it is perfect for my needs. I can store my Dyson hair dryer, 4 clear packing cubes (small) my makeup bag, my nail polish bag, my jewelry travel box, two small rolled up shirts or socks, chargers and all my personal identification.)
Overall, even if this bag is perceived on the larger side, it meets the requirements for a personal bag for most airlines. The quality and functionality of this bag have surpassed anything else I’ve ever used. I’ve had this bag for years and it still looks like the day I bought it.

maple gum tree: I think it's expediant for me to write a review of this Travelpro tote bag which arrived today (070922) being only 7 days from date of order, even before having used it, as it's already packed for my first trip. That is an awesome service to begin with. Upon taking it out of the sturdy carton, I weighed it to find it at 950 grams....very acceptable low weight. Then started transferring items from a previous older other brand tote. This new tote is my third Travelpro product, the first two being the underseat carryon and an overhead stowage carryon, those both on wheels in black balistic nylon construction....this tote taken in the rich dark plum colour just to give a variance of colour to my collection. It is a beautiful dark plum colour and co-ordinates nicely sitting on the black overhead stowage carryon. This tote is adequate to carry a few personal essentials and will sit under the seat also. It will even hold a 13-inch laptop nicely. The zippers are of excellent construction and perform admirably. And the inner pocket is adequate for smaller toiletries. It is a bit darker gray than the listing photos appear but I am still happy with it.
I wished there were some feet on the bottom but could see how they could get in the way.
I also would have liked something to make the handles stay together and the little water bottle pouch is of limited use. A tiny zipper compartment would have been great instead for my uses.
I bought this for use as a personal item on Allegiant.
It is a tiny bit too wide to fit their sizers but it compresses easily and fits.
Overall the bag is softer than the photos make it appear.
I do not believe I will have any problem with this being a personal item unless I overpack it.
It fit United's and American's sizer with room to spare.
It is not perfect as I have a few things I would like to see changed but I'm happy with it still.
It barely fits Allegiant but it does.
I'm still giving it five stars as it is a beautifully made bag and serves its niche purpose.

Sparky: First off, this tote is NOT worth the price it normally retails for on the Travelpro website, any other retailer or here. However, randomly from our watch list, my wife and I saw that this was on sale for approximately 1/2 the price, so I secretly bought it for her birthday.
This CREW series is heavier duty and built to last, much more than their regular series, because it assumes you are crew or fly very frequently and need durability. It's a perfect match for their CREW series suitcases as well, which we have, so we have completed our set.
At the price we got it for, this was an amazing deal here on Amazon.

Nat Kat: I bought a travelpro carry-on suitcase & tote 30 years ago. The suitcase - amazingly - is still alive after numerous international flights. The tote died a few years ago. When shopping for a bag to fit United Basic Economy "personal item" dimensions I found this travelpro tote is one of the few that fits - most other items sold as "underseat" are about 4" too large for United BE.
Pros:
-small and light
-sturdy construction and quality metal clips for shoulder strap
-holds 2 small packing cubes + small laptop + toiletries bag + snacks + water bottle
-fits United Basic Economy "personal item" restrictions
-easy to pack and unpack (u-shaped zipper)
-interior zipper compartment
-exterior compartment has phone pouch and another zipper compartment
cons
-expensive ... there was a discount coupon when I purchased this bag ... I wouldn't pay full price
-only 1 exterior side pocket. Older version had 2 exterior pockets
-no "feet" on bottom
I've just packed for flight tomorrow ... so can't say if it will last 25 years like it's great grandfather ... but I like that I can cushion my laptop between 2 packing cubes and fit everything I need to...
