Der 1070er Stahl ist perfekt gehärtet, Schärfe ab Werk ausreichend (darf nicht schärfer sein, sonst
wird die Verpackung durchschnitten !!!)
Der Hartholzgriff ist bereits ab Werk sehr ergonomisch !
Dass ich das ganze Produkt für meine Bedürfnissen umgearbeitet habe, ist einzig u. alleine meine
Entscheidung, schmälert aber dadurch die Qualität von Tramontina in keinster Weise !!!

ace: Leider verlief die Lieferung etwas verkompliziert, die erste Bestellung ging iwo flöten, ohne selbst zu agieren erfolgte Erstattung. Auch die 2.te Bestellung verspätete sich etwas, jedoch ist nun alles da.
Sie ist gut Verarbeitet, die Klinge gerade und Griff ohne Grate/Ecken/Kanten welche stören.
Auch hier muss an der Spitze etwas nachgearbeitet werden, die Schneidkante hatte etwa 2mm, welche weggeschkiffen werden musste, aber dies war ja auch zu erwarten.
Sie ist gut ausbalanciert und liegt hervorragend in der Hand.

Grobi: Für den Preis top, da muss man nicht lange überlegen! Teil kommt scharf geschliffen und man kann damit mühelos kleinere Äste abschlagen. Klinge ist natürlich nicht geschmiedet, sie wird auch schnell Verschmutzungen aufweisen, auch der Griff ist recht grob, aber die Machete tut, was sie soll und das bisher tadellos!

This 14" Bolo style Tramontina machete with 1070 carbon steel and a hardwood handle, lives up to the hype. Listen guys, it's going to be a little on the rough and unfinished side when you get it, but don't despair! That's actually quite a fine thing, because these tools are meant to be finished to the owners' specifications and needs.
The Bolo style machete gives you a little extra weight at the end of the blade, which really helps when chopping the woody type of brush I have here in the northeast of the US. I also have a 12" and a 14" Latin style machete from them, all are great, but this 14" Bolo is my favorite for chopping through thick woody vines and small saplings and getting really close to the ground, she takes a beating and keeps her composure!!! If you're debating between the Bolo and Latin style just get both and try them out because I think they both have pros and cons!

Amazon Customer: had an old one from the 60s.. got stolen out the back of my truck. this one here is pretty good tho. nice weight, decent gauge. holds an edje very well and its cheap. no frills, just works as it should... thats how i like it.
only thing i can say was a bit off was the sharpaning. the guy who does those needs to take his time more cause it was done a little crooket and totally missed a spot.. it was flat. but yea thats a minor issue i guess if u have 15 minutes to spare and know how to propperly use a sharpening stone.
tho my old bolo still had the factory shapnening on it and worked great.. i was always impressed by that so that fact about the new one stood out.
