Fabio Lujan: It opens and closes forcefully. I hope it can handle frequent opening and closing without getting damaged. Also a bit heavier than I expected, but probably due to the sturdiness of the product.

Carrie B: UPDATE: I'm changing my review from 2 to 4 stars solely on customer experience. They reached out to me immediately after my review, apologized profusely and gave me a full refund asking me to give them another chance in the future without having to return my item. I didn't ask them for that, they were very nice and because I appreciate companies who actually care about their reviews I'm changing my rating. Hopefully they fix the length of their strap, then this product will be perfect.

I love the size but as soon as you take it out of the box and it fluffs up, the strap is too short to velcro it back together, so if you try to hold the handle and spin the tie around to close it, the umbrella unlocks and pops back up. I tried it a few times, it's a pretty cheap umbrella to be able to unlock that easily. Noone wants to have to hold a wet umbrella closed with their hand so they can tie it together.

Mike Nash: OK, I've used this a few times but not many. Now after our hot summer the rain has finally arrived and I felt safe in the knowledge I would stay dry (as can be with a brolly). But I was surprised to feel drips. Not much, but it seems where the struts are in contact with the fabric, the water filters through bilding up until it drips. Small showers aren't a problem, but a deluge will leave you feeling rather wet.
I'm now off to find another 'recommended' brolly for when it continues raining . . .
