GLENN: When not in use, I store all my workout equipment in a small corner of my garage, so when I decided to get a dip stand, it had to be easily foldable for compact storage. The Ultimate Body Press was the only foldable model I could find, so I hoped it would work well. It didn't disappoint me. It goes together very easily and once you put your weight on it, it's rock solid. I felt very secure during dips. I even tried swinging during leg raises to further test its stability, and it remained totally stable. I just can't understand all the reviewers that complained about it being wobbly during use. The non-slip grips worked well, and I liked that they weren't padded. The entire dip stand seems very well made and I feel confident it will be durable in the long term. Folding it up for storage is also fast and easy. My only criticism is the use of stickers for color coding the assembly. Without the stickers, proper assembly would be difficult at best. One of my stickers was already pealing slightly when I received the dip stand, and it is very likely other stickers will loosen with use, so I added some clear tape all the way around the tube at each colored sticker, to make sure they stay...

cnagappa: The color coded dots make it easy to put this fitness station together. However it takes a bit of jiggling to get it together the first time.

Although there is a slight amount of give once assembled, it gets stable once you put your body weight on it. It has a pretty safe design, which pushes the connecting tubes together rather than apart.

In short it does work for assisted and non-assisted dips, as well as the other exercises in this video.

James White: Great dip station. It is stronger than it FEELS however... the bottom join is designed for easy storage, but it just makes everything feel a bit shaky. Still, once you put your body-weight on, it is as solid as a rock. Tubular frame is strong and the grips big enough that your hands don't take too much pressure. Clever feature - if you turn it around your dips actually work different muscles for a fresh muscle-group workout. I like it; upper body seeing shape in the first week.

Thaik: When I first got them, I was like: oh it isn't black?

Well obviously I should have payed better attention, it's just that the first time I saw them was on YouTube and the guy had a completely black one, I wonder if they still sell it.

Anyway, small detail, I like the black and white tone.

The assembly was easy, simple match the colour code and snap them together, no tools needed, just a small spring mechanism, don't know how it's called, but no issues there.

I was though a bit disappointed that upon assembly, before assembling all the pieces that the way each tube fit into another, there's quite a bit of slack, it's not 100% tight, don't know if it's made that way, but I was expecting a solid structure with no play. Although completing the assembly eliminates most of it, it is still disappointing.

But this issue is minor, the other annoying issue is that whenever sliding out the two tubes at the bottom, on side tends to jam even though I was careful enough to slide them out gradually on each side, I have to put them back in their original position and try again by pulling one side completely being pull the other.

DMOttawaDMOttawa: Have been looking for a product like this to complete my home gym. It arrived quickly and in great shape. Easy to put together. I had some stiffness in one of the connections but after a couple of assembly's and a shot of silicon spray everything moves fine.
I have read that some people were having issues with it being uneven. Make sure you adust the feet properly.
I needed something that was easy to store and did not take up much space. You can do a full body workout with this product. I have all ready come up with a few of my own variations of the main exercises.
One negative, and this is just a attention to detail issue, is that the brand stickers were crooked and peeling off. For the price it would have been nice to have them painted on.
It also would have been good to have a thicker hand grip.

Sharkespeare: First let me say that $100.00 is not a lot of money, however for such a simple device (meaning it costs dirt to manufacture) I expected more.

THE GOOD:
EXTREMELY SIMPLE TO PUT TOGETHER! If you have any problems building this item, you really shouldn't buy your own equipment. Not trying to insult anyone, but it takes only a modicum of spatial reasoning and color coordination. Blue goes with blue, pink to pink, etc...Yes, there are directions, too.
The thickness of the rails means it will hold heavy weight. I'm guessing well above the 300lb mark stated in the advert. I'm 260 and I feel no fear in a tube collapsing even if I have extra weight hanging from a belt while doing dips. The black paint doesn't seem like it will chip/scratch easily unless you brush metal up against it which is kind of an obvious "don't". Easy to break down and put under a bed or in a closet. Quite literally a 5-10 second set up (This item does not fold or slide - you do have to break it down into at least 2 parts - again, not much of an issue, but some people don't like to be bothered). That's all I really have to say about the good really other than it will fulfill it's general...

distilledknight: After reading the full spectrum of reviews here at Amazon as well as trying out numerous models of dip stations at local sporting good stores, I decided to give the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand a try.

While I ultimately gave the item five stars, let me begin with two minor complaints.

First, assembly is not as easy as it could be. Each part is marked with a colored dot that slides into a second part with a corresponding colored dot. However, two of the colors (yellow and slightly darker yellow) are nearly indistinguishable in normal lighting and with a casual glance. If you stop and look for the difference, it's there, but it doesn't stand out. Once you've differentiated between two very similar shades of yellow dots, assembly is pretty straightforward. The directions are not terribly useful (which isn't that big of deal, since you really can't mess up matching colored dots), but I'd strongly encourage the company to rewrite them; they appear as if they were written by someone who is very familiar with the assembly process and not written for someone who had just received a box of parts.
