HazelEyedGirl: We already have a similar motion sensor solar light at the front of the house but wanted one for the back.
It comes with the fitting attachments and is easy enough to screw the bracket into the wall where needed and then the unit itself just slides onto this.
It’s stated as IP65 waterproof, so is suitable for outdoor use and at this rating should withstand even winter downpours.
This one has three lights; the central light is fixed however the outer lights are adjustable so you can shine them where needed.
The solar panel can also be tilted to expose it to the sun and ensure it gets charged.
It has three light modes which you can set either by pressing the button on the back, or using the remote, the first is the one we use, this turns the light on to optimum brightness when it detects motion and then goes off again when it can’t sense any movement, the second will keep a dim light on all night, but when it senses any movement it will shine brightly until the movement is no longer detected, the third is always on mode and it will stay on at reduced brightness all night.

Comes in a brown cardboard box, inside is the light, mounting bracket, screws & wall plugs, remote control and an instruction leaflet. The lamp is rated IP65 which Is higher than the IP44 rating found on some cheaper alternatives. IP stands for Ingress Protection, the first digital is protection against contact and dust ingress and the second digit is protection against water. With a rating of 6 this light is completely protected against contact and against the ingress of dust. The 5 rating means the light is protected against water from any angle, but it is not waterproof i.e., the light is rainproof, but cannot be submerged.

As it does not require mains electricity this light is easy to install. The mounting bracket requires two screws which are supplied. The light then just slides onto the bracket. Took only a few minutes to install. The solar panel will need to face the sun so won’t well on a north facing wall. Pinnacle VisionPinnacle Vision: I wanted a powerful adjustable multi-directional solar-powered motion sensor LED light for the rear part of the house. It's usually dark and needs lighting.
This light caught my eye with its dual-direction motion sensors and 3 good-sized LED panels.
This motion-sensing solar security light packs a punch and is rated at a phenomenon of 2500 lumens and 167 LEDs. This solar light is powerful and bright and can shine quite far and wide distance. The light is made from mostly good quality plastics of various grades and is durable.
You get a remote control to turn the light off or onto a lower brightness, which is a nice touch. This is handy to be used from the patio table or through the kitchen window to activate the light. I like this feature.
The solar panel is of the nicer Polysilicon type and is better at receiving solar light and charging up the internal lithium Ion battery. The motion sensor is good and has quick reaction at detecting from near and farther away and the 3 x LED panels have good quality LEDs, encased in an optically clear gasket cover. The unit is weather resistant to IP65.

BinaryWizard: The units themselves work fine, they detect motion and the lights are reasonably bright. The biggest problem is activating the battery On/Off switch which is located in the bowels of the unit. Access is gained through a 1/8 hole at the top of the unit and they supply you with a slender pin to activate that switch. Until that switch is activated, the unit will not work.

The instructions are poorly written and as a result you have no idea where the switch is relative to the hole itself. One would think it is near the top so you fish around with no idea of exactly what you are looking for, or whether the switch should move up and down or side to side. Anyway after a couple of frustrating minutes, I finally figured out, that the switch needs to be depressed, and you really have to insert the pin quite far into the unit to actually reach and depress the button. If you place the pin at about a 30 degree angle relative to the front of the unit and then move the pin slowly into the unit, the end of the pin will eventually reach the top of the button. At that point lightly press and you should feel the button depress and stay in the on position.

The battery came fully charged...

J Bar: I liked its simplicity and the power endurance after solar charge. It is amazing at movement detection...which is what I needed. A person approaching the house perimeter is aware of his detection with a much brighter light intensity. Makes the outdoor car port a little more safe with an intrusion awareness without waking all the neighbors, with alarms.

Bad news, I received the two solar lights....but only one works. The second unit will light up when you stick a pin in to light it up....but the switch inside is momentary and nothing I can do to make the switch stay in the on position. The other light switch stayed on with a click when pin Inserted.

I am going to request a return to Amazon for one replacement. In addition, there wS no paper instructions, no mounting screws, and no pins for turning the-light on. i was able improvise a piece of hard wire to turn the light's on. Perhaps a replacement light will have a box in it with the tool to turn the light on--and the proper sized mounting screws. I would rate this a full five if they both worked right out of the box.
