It is tamper resistant if u have little ones,so u have to use a little more effort putting a plug in,& it is also weather resistant,so good for bathrooms that get all foggy& wet from steam. I'm glad to finally have a GFCI in that plug! Much safer. Will be getting another for my porch.

Hf: These are a great value. I have installed 20 in a 1929 ungrounded house to allow for code passage as the only means of having a three prong outlet. While these are generally standard size I'd you are replacing them in a old house the box can be very tight as they were made for smaller outlets prevously. I recently had an electrician in to run a new main line to the house he tested and inspected some outlets to make sure everything was up to par and said the installation and outlet was better than most he had seen. I highly recommend LEVER connectors over nuts and if code allows a short connector rather than a direct connect to the outlet.
In a prevous comment there was a permanent indicator light on. This means the unit is incorrectly installed. (This can be extremely difficult to figure out.) This generally occurs when connecting multiple outlets downline. It can be unintuitive but once you overcome the annoyance it is a great sign they are correctly wired. I also highly recommend testing the outlet with a light prior to full installation as another sign of incorrect wiring can be the reset popping when something is plugged in even without power.
The only change I would...

Ali E: I decided to buy these for the very good price and also coming with screwless cover.
What I like:
It comes with two cover plate. One regular and one screwless.
Design is nice.
What I don't like as an engineer:
Doesn't seem well made.
Covers are flimsy.
Plugs go in very hard.
This is NOT UL approved, which I didn't know before buying or I wouldn't buy.
It does not have the status light that a receptacle is supposed to have. Instead it has a malfunction light that is always on no matter what. Useless light. Manufacturer claims this light only turns off if power is off or if the receptacle is bad. When you press test and cut the power this light stays on. So end power is off but this light on. This is misleading since one might look at the light and say that receptacle has not tripped.
Manufacturers are nice and responsive to my questions and concerns.

Eric Rook: I recently moved into a new house where a GFCI outlet needed to be replaced. I didn't know at the time but I accidentally ordered two of these instead of one and I'm glad I did because I ended up needing another one in the kitchen. The two that I've had have worked perfectly since installation. Installation was also pretty simple. Obviously, make sure the power is off, and you shouldn't have any problems. I actually like this product so much that I'm going to be ordering a couple more to replace two other receptacles in which the GFCI is no longer functioning.
The only thing that I don't necessarily like about this receptacle is that the green light that indicates that power is on can be a little bright depending on the angle that you are viewing it from.

Jim L: size of gfci (blockiness and depth) was too large for a normal single gang box. had to change to 4-square.
The attachments (screws and internal clamp) for the hot and neutral wires are sloppy and weak feeling. The Line and Load markings on the back are very faint They should have put tape over the load terminals on the back of the device so they are readily identifiable.
