Bigger than expected but come to like. Has made it easier to catch waves and get good speeds to stay in the wave and not just have the wave go through me. Use with fins if using in waist or deeper water. Material is all foam. Would have preferred some reinforcement on bottom face. Practice swimming with it. Keep it low when ducking or you'll lose it. I didn't use the leash. I like being able to switch hands last second. Great tool

Arrived on time and in good condition. After 40+ years of all sorts of ocean activities like surfing, body boarding and body surfing, I never had the chance to try a Hand Board. After seeing one being used, I figured maybe it was time. Having had some experience with body surfing, it was easy to pick up the technique of getting it out in front and on plane to have a bit extra lift on the wave. I've even had my 9 year old niece use it with 2 hands to help her learn to body surf. So when she isn't on her surfboard (just leaning), or bodyboard, she pesters me to use my Hand Plane.
Decent enough quality and it does the job along with being excellent value for money. Takes up almost no space and fits in the pocket on the back of the beach chairs, so it's no trouble transporting to and from the beach.

My son had fun using this on our beach vacation last week. It worked well and was less bulky and cumbersome than a full boogie board. He was able to get some good wave rides. The only downside is that is that the small size doesn't offer the chest/stomach protection that a full board does, so you need to be careful of getting scratched up by the sand.

The handboard is so much fun. The orange color is very bright and happy. All of us can fit our hands in it. We have a beach house that we go often in the summer for family vacation and we look forward to this coming summer to have some fun with this surfing handboard with our kids. The orange board will look so sharp in the blue water.
