Therm-a-Rest Trail Pro: Self-Inflating Foam Mattress for Camping Comfort

I don't consider this a backpacking sleeping pad, because of the bulkiness but it was great for motorcycle camping. Still a bit bulky but packable nonetheless. What I appreciated most is how quiet it is compared to the NeoAir.

Anna: This thing is decently small and very light when packed. It’s exceptional if you’re car camping in a small car. It can also be used backpacking but it might be a little bulkier than other packable options.
The outer fabric is very soft and the pad is comfortable. It is a fine balance between size and comfort. It’s just thick enough to insulate and to support a side sleeper in a comfortable position. You can adjust it to your desired level of firmness. For example, I’m a side sleeper who likes soft and I can still use it. I wake up rested without any sore spots.
You can also us this pad for glamping as a mattress topper for a firm inflatable mattress.
It does self inflate and I only need 5 blows to make it soft for side sleeping. It insulates pretty well but I only used it on +8C. I will be comfortable for using it in much colder temperatures as well.

In terms of difficulty durability this pad is strong enough but definitely not heavy duty. I use a thin mat or wool blanket under.

JM: Great sleeping pad, well worth the investment. Remember to store it partially inflated at the very least, the self inflating foam will work much better. Also I'd consider this to be just a bit big for multi day hikes where space is a concern. However it's so much nicer to sleep on this 3.5" pad compared to my 25 year old thin thermarest.

deesblues: I bought this for my first trip to the Boundary Waters canoe area. Being a side sleeper with hip and shoulder issues, I wanted a thicker pad. This went on sale right on time. I bought the large/wide. It inflates and deflates easily and is easy to pack up. I used it for a week, cannot speak to long-term durability but so far I love it. I do wish it was rectangular, but that's a minor complaint.

David: Compared to some larger ones, its a bit on the small side given the price. Its great as far as the ease of inflating and deflating. I like the fact that it (apparently) is one thing we can actually make in the US. Overall its great for use in a small tent or hammock, or for a small person that doesn’t move around too much.

L’auto gonfiaggio funziona molto bene ma conviene effettuare una prova a casa prima di utilizzarlo outdoor perché la prima volta necessita di gonfiaggio manuale a causa della compressione prolungata della schiuma isolante. Sgonfiaggio e ripiegamento velocissimi. Unico neo è l’ingombro, pari a quello di un sacco a pelo in piuma, ma non si può avere tutto a questo prezzo.

Nick: So far impressed with this very comfortable easy to inflate deflate is expensive but there are discounts sometimes I paid 110 for wide version doesn't pack micro small or super light but is light and packs smaller than a foam Matt more flexible than that easy fits in my 80l ruck with other items I can't comment on longevity but so far no wear I do pack and look after carefully and store loosely rolled not folded like when in compression sack when in rucksack I put in a standard pillow case inside rolled to store when not in use watch out for valve sticking out when rolled this could catch in rucksack may damage it is well made shuld last I'm sure better insulation for winter cold weather important but this Matt is comfortable for me side sleeper also can adjust comfort by adjusting how much air in while layed on it less can be better than too much air there is no built in pillow but I use fabric small cushion and have a normal pillow case I carry I stuff with jacket or jumper if I want more pillow height below my cushion also if you have a achey back this gives good support I look at it as long term use and so justify price I also use in summer and colder weather quality does cost...
