Ejdovos: After being a fan of the TV show for many years, I started reading these without too much hope. I figured ‘I already knew everything about this story’.
I was so wrong.

This volume had me absolutely gripped right from the start, unable to put it down, wishing I could turn the page even faster just so I can find out what happened next.

So much is different from the show. Yes, there’s Rick and there’s zombies, but you meet many new characters within these pages that worm their way into your heart and mind. You don’t even begrudge the lack of Daryl Dixon- and that’s a shocker for me.

You won’t regret reading these.

Sneha J: Someone gifted me “The Walking Dead” volume 4 a few years ago. So I’ve finally caught up with volume 1, which follows cop Rick Grimes’ misadventures into a Zombie infested America.

Writer Robert Kirkman’s introduction to the series was befitting start to the zombie world, since it helps the viewer understand the creator’s perspective.

“To me, the best zombie movies aren’t the splatter fests of gore and violence with goofy characters and tongue in cheek antics. Good zombie movies show us how messed up we are, they make us question our station in society…”

KIRMAN SAYS AND DELIVERS US JUST THAT THROUGH THE SERIES.

It all starts with Rick Grimes waking up from a coma in what looks like an abandoned hospital. Baffled that there’s nobody around, he tries to get out of the building only to be met with strange, horrifying looking creatures that cannot communicate. It doesn’t take him too long to find the truth and now his only quest is to find his wife and kid who he believes must have headed to Atlanta.

Just like Rick, the reader too eases in to the grim reality of a world that’s no longer normal. Robert...
