I was aware of the popular graphic novels but never had much interest in them until I read this. It really is brilliant and I'm looking forward to reading more in the series.

Ann-Marie: Omg this comic is so good. The progression of the intro to the end is amazing. The different characters and the character development of Morpheus is excellent. I’m so looking forward to reading the rest of the series!!

Raffaello: Cosa vi posso dire, è uno dei testi che preferisco tra tutti i fumetti che ho letto. Ha una sua magia, ha una sua consistenza, tant'è vero che ne è stata fatta una serie televisiva su Netflix abbastanza se non molto fedele a questo fumetto. È sicuramente un viaggio nel mondo onirico caratterizzato da una serie di storie meravigliose che vedono come protagonista Sandman, il signore del sogno. Conosciuto da molti come Morfeo, imprigionato cerca di liberarsi da una società segreta di maghi che ha sconvolto gli equilibri della terra. Sandman indebolito dovrà affrontare una serie di prove per poter ritrovare tutto il suo potere.

L. Brown: Back in the 90s, my brother was a huge fan of The Sandman. If he liked it, I figured I would hate it. So I waited many years to revisit the stories. Now that he’s gone, reading these reminds me a lot of him and the things he enjoyed, but it doesn’t surprise me at all that I found value in these stories as well. We didn’t have the same taste, but if I’d read these when he was alive, I think we would have found common ground. Neil Gaiman is a genius and though the tone may change from issue to issue, you can definitely see him working out the universe of the Sandman and finally nailing it. I can’t wait to watch the show and see how Gaiman interprets the Lord of Dreams for a new world.

Eldweena: It was hard to choose tags for this book... It's a weird ride but once you start, you are hooked.
I avoided the Sandman comics for a long time because...? I was curious, but maybe I was afraid to take the leap. But I'm on a Neil Gaiman kick right now, so I decided to take the plunge and bought the 30th anniversary edition from amongst many options. I wanted to see what the fuss was about, why it's considered to be such a classic. Now I know.
I had no idea what this was going to be when I started reading. It begins with a cult. The leader is trying to trap Death so he can achieve immortality. (No death equals eternal life!) But he catches Death's little brother instead. And while the Lord of Dreams, the Sandman, Morpheus is in captivity, three precious artifacts are stolen: his dream dust, his mask, and a ruby containing parts of himself. Volume 1 of the trade paperback series shows what happens to us all without the Sandman, and follows Morpheus along on his journey to reclaim his possessions.
At times the story was horrifying, and sometimes it was really trippy. Morpheus is on earth, he visits hell, and he takes us to his dream realm. I enjoyed the eclectic...
