Mitzy: This is the only Abraham book I've purchased and read. Excellent easy to understand difficult concepts. Helpful to listen to Abraham Hicks youtube videos too - love love love those! I loved Michael Singer's Untethered Soul, Deepak Chopra's Synchrodestiny, Gesne Roach's How Yoga Works, Dolores Cannon's The New Earth. I think those are the greats and this one goes up there with them. Abraham Hicks has more of a new system though and a way to approach life that actually works practically speaking. Truly amazing. I love love love the format with the questions and answers. This books is just so good and everyone in the world would benefit greatly from reading it...and then the world would benefit greatly :) :) :) Can't recommend enough.

Denis J: The 'Vortex' by author Esther Hicks, based on the Abraham teachings, offers the reader interesting ways to deal with life and its dramas. The knowledge and wisdom is understood to be brought forth from non-physical entities channelled through Esther Hicks.

The book has extensive coverage of human relationships and why they go wrong for many people. There are offered 22 'Flawed Ideas' about what we believe to be true in life, which then sets the tone of bringing uncomfortable experiences to us - due to errors in our original thinking. The Abraham teachings identify an energy Vortex that seemingly exists above us and is part of us and is the holder of all our co-operative components that make up our desires since birth. It is said that we only have to enter this Vortex by aligning our core vibration frequency with that of our desire to experience it in our life. I understand that this is true but is not as simple as it is made out to be due to our current evolutionary physical form and our ego-mind that tends to dominate mankind's conscious thinking patterns. We tend to fleet from one thought to another, being unable to focus our thoughts long enough to allow a desired...

MS S ALLEN: I have had this book and CD for a while now (over a year). When I first bought it I didn't bother reading the book, I just assumed it was a repeat of what was said on the CD. I listened to the CD as instructed, in the order laid out and then listened to the parts I was inspired to. In the beginning, I worried about "getting it right" and couldn't quite relax in the 15 minutes given. After a while I found getting my breath in sync with the music of the CD becomes easier with each listening.
I think I did this for maybe a month and a half and then stopped. I became impatient and felt that "nothing (significant like cash coming) was happening". I did feel good and I felt that I was more energized and required less sleep.
I have since gone back to the book - reading the passages during my free time and then using the CD during meditation. I feel that I understand it more; I'm not so impatient, and eager to just see results. Now my focus is on just feeling good/ feeling relief - and knowing that feeling good is the work of this CD - nothing more (feeling good is really important). My willingness to let go of "what will this get me right now" and just "going with the flow". I...

D. HagelD. Hagel: Abraham ends every workshop with the words "There is great love here for you" and yet at times the messages are delivered with a lack of "feeling". I equate this with the "tuff love" approach. Much of what he says is not easy to hear, yet we need to hear it. Many of his messages require us to re-think what we currently believe and adhere to...that is the point of Abraham...to enlighten us to do better, have better, and be better. And Abraham only responds to questions that we have asked...and so it is my belief that if you are hearing or reading the messages from Abraham, at some level you have asked and therefore are attracted to his answers.

The message about parent/child relationships seems to receive the most negative responses. In my work to help parents become "awakened" to the wisdom of Abraham concerning parenting and the parent's role in their children's lives is often met with enormous resistance. Many times parents feel Abraham is telling them to "let go" and "let the child". This leaves them with a sense of dismissing their responsibility as a parent to take care of and watch over their children...in essence take their control over their children's lives away....

Iona Main Stewart: One of the great things about the principles expounded by Abraham are in my view that they exist at all. What I mean is, isn't it fantastic that it turns out that the Universe has been constructed in this way, that we ourselves can control everything in our lives, that nothing happens by chance, and that we cannot be victims except by the power of our own negativity? I think it's wonderful, like a fairy tale, or a dream come true. Pity we weren't taught all this in school or on our mother's knee.

My favourite Abraham book is "Ask and it is given". I found it slightly difficult to get into this one - for some reason I didn't find it particulary readable at first.

In this book Abraham for the first time, I think, talks about "the Vortex", "Vortex of attraction" or "Vortex of becoming". This apparently contains all the requests you have ever made, and when you finally get into the Vortex by continually reaching for better and better thoughts, all your wishes will be granted - you will become "You", as Abraham puts it.

The book is highly inspiring. I think perhaps no one Abraham book is necessarily better than any other, but the more you read the books and try to...

Andrew Goodman: Jerry, Esther and Abraham have done it again. The more they write, the more poignant their message becomes. I will confess I have been following their work closely for a couple of years now and I'm so immersed in it that I feel like I'm a part of it. As I hear Abraham speaking about things in the way that I have thought of them, I find it incredibly personal and reinforcing of the concept of unity, the idea that "we are all in this together"; as we truly are.

Of all of the books to date, my favourite and the closest to my heart is `Ask and It is Given'. Never before have I seen so much love and understanding and compassion poured out onto the written word through the purest of all channels, Esther. But for all its feeling, `Ask' is a study text almost to be meditated upon (the exercises notwithstanding), "Vortex" is a very practical book that leads you piece by piece through the relationship maze - and we quickly realise that everything that we experience is because of relationships; whether light and dark, sound and silence, joy and pain. Without these relative relationships we would not be able to perceive the world. Profound but very simple. To know it was Love, Source...

Kathy W: This 2009, 238-page book is more of the Teachings of Abraham and part of the Law of Attraction series by the authors. Although it is quite repetitive, it really does provide very good information. As one might suspect, it is about the Law of Attraction, which basically states that what you put out there is what you get back. The book explains that by providing many Q & As, in which Jerry asks questions of Abraham (a certain collective consciousness group of entities that he and Esther channel information from). Abraham channels the answers. This book is actually about relationships. Beyond the concepts of couples, the term relationships is directed toward any one you may have a relationship with, such as a spouse, significant other, friend, boss, relative, hairdresser, etc.

The first section of the book delves into some flaws in beliefs that many people experience, such as "If I push hard enough against unwanted things, they will go away." The book then explains why this is faulted thinking and how to properly align your thinking to achieve the results you truly want. The book then attempts to answer the normal questions that most people would have where they experience...
