Kindle Customer: The author gets a bit long winded At times, but I love that the story is based on the true life of her great grandmother. Thanks God I didn't live in the Pioneer. days, life was brutal, although there are sweet moments of living closer to the earth. I enjoy the characters and the author makes it easy to remember who they are and how they fit into the story. I have read all three of the books in this series and plan to read any other books that she has written. I would Recommend this book to anyone who is interested in what ranch life was like in the early 1900s

R H TAYLOR: Great book to read enjoyed reading this book

Patricia D. Mintle: This book, #3 in the series, has a lot of ups and downs in it. Sarah is one tough woman! I knew women of this era had to face many adverse situations and this novel makes it real! To be honest I am sorry this is the last book.

Jane Swigart: As soon as I finished These Is My Words I knew I would want to read the next two books, Sarah’s Quilt and The Star Garden. I enjoyed both of them every bit as much as the first book. Romance, adventure, heartache, humor…… it’s all there. Sarah and her family will stay with me for a long time. All three of these books will remain on my bookshelf to be enjoyed again and again.

United States on Nov 23, 2021

Cynthia Marshall: This tugged at my heartstrings from the first chapter. My maternal grandparents were born in 1903 & 1906 here in west Texas, & our son presently lives just 85 miles south of us in San Angelo, Tx. The commonality of the timeline & locale pulled me deeper into the story with each book….I Know these characters; they are my friends; they are my neighbors! What a beautiful ride through “my family’s history!”

Mrs S D Martin: This whole series is simply superb. If you enjoy honest history with real people and real places, these are the books for you.

United Kingdom on Jul 24, 2020

A. WOOD: Wonderful story telling. Gritty, heartbreaking, heartwarming. This book has everything to keep you enthralled from start to finish. So well written, I lived and breathed every scene my imagination so easily portrayed. So sad the story has finally ended.

United Kingdom on Aug 14, 2019

Jay Rhys: An absorbling tale of Sarah Prine and her family, the horrors and privations which this indomitable woman takes 'on board' -and survives, is truly heartbreaking at times. How these pioneers at the
beginning of the century coped is remarkable. However, having said all this, I cannot say that I liked the main character, Sarah Prine.

United Kingdom on Jun 20, 2016

Sue: I have now read the Sarah Agnes Prine trilogy and, although the first was my absolute favourite, this book kept me reading to the end. Nancy Turner manages to involve you in these peoples lives, which are so different from our own, that they become imprinted in your mind. Loved it!
