Joan Dermody: To be honest I only got this book because it was suggested for my book club. I wasn't even sure I liked the letters format. Once I got into the book and was introduced to the characters, I starred to care about those characters. The author wraps everything up beautifully.

Mrs. K. A. Wheatley: Like The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie book or the Dear Mrs Bird series, this is a lovely, gentle epistolary novel of a friendship that starts with food and leads to a vivid, blossoming friendship and an empowering love story. I loved this.
