Elsa M. Mikus: Let me start by saying “I never review ANYTHING “.
Finally, someone who gets just loving to eat! I have been told forever that something traumatic in my childhood causes me to overeat. B******t! I love food. I always have. My mother and aunt were great cooks. I was never told NO if I wanted 2nds (or thirds 😵💫).
The section on “A little bit or nothing at all” really struck a chord with me. I am DEFINITELY an “abstainer” rather than a “moderator”. I have certain trigger foods (popcorn and really good crusty bread) that I can not just have A handful or A slice. I am just better off abstaining. She gets me…finally, after 50 years of trying everything under the sun, a plan I can stick with.

Erin Davis: At 60 I thought I’d tried every diet there was. I was afraid of a program that would take away the things I loved (carbs, of course) until I tried keto. Stephanie’s DLK isn’t just a diet - it’s a LIFE. I can commit to these changes and have; I’m going to eat this way from now on...one day at a time, forever. Already after two months I’ve lost 20+ lbs and my feet are no longer aching from supporting me. With another 20 to go, my husband is now reading this book to understand and support me - I swear he’s considering the changes too. DLK is simply amazing. I want to sing about it from the rooftop but for now, a heartfelt review. And thanks.

ann sawchuk: I'm enjoying this book keep looking stuff up. This book has so much stuff in it, that I've thought about how it makes sense biggest things is how much I've thought and done these things to know I'm not the only one out there and here's something / someone to help me....can't say enough

Gussy Granger: I knew what keto was before buying this book but I think the main reason I wanted to read it was for the motivation I needed. Hearing someone else go through it is more helpful than you realize. There are parts of the book that stayed with me like her comment about watermelon, if you want watermelon, eat watermelon. I’ve even eaten a cupcake and didn’t gain an ounce because I stuck with the keto diet before and after the cupcake. Also, I experienced sour stomach I think because of the lack of carbs and sometimes it would bother me so I would have one piece of toast in the morning with my eggs and it would make me feel better and didn’t make me groggy afterwards. I did this on occasion and never went overboard.
I was too lazy to count my carbs, I just stuck to the list. I had times i plateaued and got frustrated but would have a cheat meal or cheat weekend then go back to keto and would continue to lose. I lost 10 lbs my first month but my second month was harder, I only lost 6 lbs but I’m happy with that. I’m so used to this way of eating, it’s like second nature. It’s easy for me to stick to it because I love vegetables, It’s oddly my favorite food.

Frequent Shopper: I have tried every diet there is. I gained 55 pounds in 8 years due to a combination of menopause, a disease that left my son disabled that was totally unexpected right after his college graduation and the same amount of years on anti anxiety/depression medication for that same reason. I was literally depressed and had totally given up. My brother read this book and I really didn't even want to try it for fear of getting my hopes up again. He convinced me by saying that she was so funny and to just try one more thing. Well she is funny. She is hilarious. I read only to the middle of the book and was convinced I would try one more time. This kind of middle of the road Keto/Low Carb. Well, I joined her Facebook group, her website offered free emails so I signed up for those, and I started her plan of staying between 20-50 carbs per day. I've lost 6 pounds in one week which is amazing in itself even though I realize some of it is water weight. I hadn't had the luxury of losing water weight in the past and I couldn't control my appetite which I attributed to the anxiety medication and my despair in regards to my son. I haven't had cravings or trouble controlling my appetite at all...

Benita: I couldn’t put this book down! I started keto almost 7 weeks ago and didn’t want to count anything other then net carbs because I’m rebellious and I don’t want to feel like I have to be perfect. It’s also way to much work to count every morsel and counting all of that reminds me of the many diets that I’ve been on! I want this to be a permanent lifestyle change and not a rigid diet I’m on for a very short time! She is so honest and feisty and the kind of friend that I would love to have! She is fearless and tells us her food related secrets! I also bought her cookbook and preordered her other two new cookbooks! I love you Stephanie!!

Linda W.: A realistic, down-to-earth story about an average woman's struggle and success with extreme weight reduction (I don't use the word 'loss' because it seems to imply one wants what they 'lost' back...)
Very easy to read & understand...
Things I liked:
As one who has been 'playing' with strict keto off and on for three years, I like the relaxed plan Stephanie offers. I think it's more doable over the long haul.
I like how Stephanie addresses the excuses, emotions and psychological challenges that go along with weight reduction and a new way of life.
I highly recommend the book and have now started on my Dirty, Lazy Keto 50 - 75 lb. weight reduction lifestyle.

CR: I happened to buy a keto magazine as I have been wanting to try it. One of the success stories was by Stephanie Laska. I really liked her story. I started with strict keto but soon grew very tired of measuring and tracking everything so I ordered her book Dirty, Lazy Keto. It is amazingly informative and funny and makes sense. I am only 100 pages in but know for sure that Dirty,Lazy Keto is for me. If you are curious about Keto and want to make that lifestyle change, I highly recommend this book. I also bought her Dirty, Lazy Keto cookbook.

Diana prince: Stephanie has turned the dieting around to not feel like a diet. But you have to be realistic and take it slow. If you weigh a lot, it will take a while to lose.
