TheGG: Awesome book. I love this book even though I’m not vegan. I gift this book to anyone who wants to try eating more vegetarian or gluten free or dairy free diets. Gives you amazing recipes, there in nothing I don’t like from this book that I’ve made so far. Yes it does require more prepping and time, but it wow’s everyone after I cook it and more: they can’t believe ours vegan

Imagination's tourist: Often you buy a cookbook and the recipes are weird or too complicated and it ends up collecting dust on a shelf. Not this cookbook. All of the recipes I've made had been good or even great. Many are just so easy to make. Since my family is not vegan but requires a DF/GF diet all of these recipes are because she often gives substitutions for food allergies which is really helpful. I get that going vegan often means buying a ton of expensive ingredients you use once and never use again, because every vegan or DF/GF cookbook somehow uses completely different ingredients than the last, but I guarantee you won't regret having to buy buckwheat groats, red lentils, or raw cashews to make these recipes, because you're going to make it again. Recipes we love: Out-The-Door Chia Power Donuts, Apple Pie Oatmeal, Crunchy Seed & Oat Flatbread, Classic Green Monster, Classic Hummus, Perfected Chickpea Salad Sandwich, Indian Lentil-Cauliflower Soup (OMG!), Soul-Soothing African Peanut Stew, Classic Glo-Bar, and on and on.

Nemo: This is a great Vegan cookbook. It doesn't matter that it is American and measures ingredients in cups and mls, just buy some cups from Amazon, as I did, because the book is worth it! This book is well presented, with each section having it's own index, as well as a full index at back of book. Each recipe has the ingredients listed to the left of page, with the method written lower right of page, and something about the recipe at top right of page, plus a colour photo of the dish on page next to it. The general font size is only about a 12, but the lay out of the book makes recipes easy to follow. The book also has lots of useful information about a healthy diet, foods to have in your Vegan pantry and how to store and use them, plus a section about useful equipment to have around. A lot of the recipes are very simple to make, using everyday ingredients, whilst other recipes take a bit more time and ingredients to look through and execute. Recipes vary from being for 2-8 people. Most ingredients used can be sourced easily. There are a few ingredients that may seem to be specific to the USA, but some of them can be sourced in the UK from local stores, or of course online. Some of...

Seana: Where do I begin? I LOVE THIS COOKBOOK! Not only did I preorder it, but shortly after receiving it, I purchased one for my mom (who is the pickiest vegan in the world, and she loves it). I stumbled upon the Oh She Glows blog a year ago, and I LOVE her recipes!!! In fact, my whole family LOVES her recipes! We also love her. She is an incredibly genuine and wholehearted author, who works hard to perfect her recipes (you can tell!).
Let me tell you a little bit about my family. I am vegan. Similar to the author, I struggled with an eating disorder. Now, I enjoy eating healthy foods with good ingredients. My husband is a firefighter who eats meat/dairy (yuck!) at work, and he eats vegan at home (primarily because I cook). He is also allergic to almonds, and I have been able to modify all of her recipes to omit his allergen (she includes substitutes for allergens in her recipes). My son is 2.5, and he is a typically picky/petulant toddler. I also have a 4 month old, who is vicariously vegan. As you can see, we have our hands full! I don't have a lot of time to cook, which is why I love her recipes. They are easy, simple and nutritious. I have most of her ingredients on hand, and...

SJ: I recently found Angela's blog and I enjoy each and every single entry. I couldn't wait for the cookbook to arrive and it had me running out to order a glut of different seeds. First off, it is absolutely beautiful, and kudos to Angela for doing the photography - it is stunning.
Recipe-wise, all the things I've tried so far - vegan overnight oats, morning glory (tehe) smoothie and the super power chia bread, chickpea-salad sandwich filling - have all been delicious. The other recipes I have bookmarked to try are - oil-free baked falafel, her take on hummus, ALL the soups, ALL the entrees and of course those desserts! Fudgy mocha pudding or brownies anyone?!
I like the fact that no fake meat is used, and I think fake cheese is only used once (and easily skipped) in the tex mex casserole, because I find those ingredients difficult to find where I live, and I want my veg/vegan food to be whole foods based. Her ingenuity in using these whole foods ingredients to create treats such as creamy sauces (cashew nuts and avocados), pestos (nuts/seeds) and vegan rolos (dates) is excellent, as well as crafting delicious desserts as a lot of people find the idea of tasty vegan desserts...

M.: I am not vegan.
I point this out because despite not being able to come up with a single thing about myself that places me in Angela Liddon's target market, this is still a contender for my most favorite cookbook in the whole world...and I've barely scratched the surface.
I first encountered Liddon courtesy of Google; I was hunting for a lentil loaf recipe and Liddon's blog popped up. I distinctly remember almost passing the ohsheglows result by entirely because of the blog's name, which - probably in no small part because I'm neither a she nor the least bit glowy - sounded a little too twee for me.
I made that recipe, and truly loved it - loved it enough that it joined the ranks of my all-time favorites - but it wasn't until I read a review for this very cookbook, accompanied by a different recipe (Thai peanut noodle bowl) that sounded fairly delicious, that I started to consider buying a cookbook new when then only cookbooks I buy ever are used and cheap. (They're hard to justify when the internet is right there, you know?)
I'm really, really glad I bought it. I consider a cookbook a win when I find maybe five recipes worth making more than once. This...

Marta Sojo: Lo uso muchísimo. Y me gusta que al ser la autora canadiense usa las medidas de mililitros, kilos… lo cual es de agradecer.
