The New Yorker 2021 Day-to-Day Calendar: Enjoy a Year of Classic Cartoons!

Mary Murray: Have used this calendar since 2020’s version and everyone in the office enjoys the daily laughs. We use the past cartoons as scrap paper. 2021’s version was eerily prescient to the daily news- it’s always interesting to see if any connections could be made to current events. The jokes are timeless.

SK: In today’s COVID world even bad and often sad days can be brightened with a daily routine of tearing off the page and laughing at the new cartoon. I often share a cartoon with somebody who has a sense of humor I know it would ignite uproariously.

We have an English daughter-in-law who says she misses the New York humor about one-fourth of the time. I had not realized that New Yorker humor was not universal!

Mark C.: We get a chuckle from the cartoon and use the back for our daily gin rummy score sheet. It's a family tradition to have the New Yorker Day-to-Day Calendar. Sometime the urban cultural references seem obscure to us folks in the mid-west but we have fun trying to figure them out. Wouldn't be without this fun calendar.

Liede Lib: Le vignette del New Yorker sono da quatto anni il nostro pane quotidiano. Sempre intelligenti e penetranti. Qualche volta sono legate molto alla cultura americana: però lo sforzo di comprenderle ci spinge ad approfondire la lingua e la società statunitense. Unico appunto: la spedizione non è gestita da Amazon e si vede. La confezione è di qualità molto bassa e ogni anno arriva danneggiata. L'anno scorso il sostegno in plastica era rotto. Spero sempre che migliorino questo aspetto.
