Shrikin: This book was useful for teachers of different levels to use as a reference. While we are familiar with the term 'intentional' as an educator, many of us struggle to purposefully and effectively teach content to young children. Many of the educators I work with ask, "When do I intervene? When do I just observe? If I step in, will it affect the children's learning?" With this book, teachers have a better understanding of instances and situations when to use child-guided strategies and when to use adult-guided strategies to effectively scaffold the child's learning while still giving them autonomy and respecting their voices.

Sarah Lynn & Brian: This book challenges teachers to think about the reasons why the learning environment has been set up the way it has for students. It highlights the importance of asking ourselves the question "why?" This helps teachers rethink their own philosophy of creating authentic learning opportunities for students.
