Andrew Herd: What a mind

Dylan Yates: Crazy, random, all over the place. Absolutely hilarious with plenty of the dives into little side bits about absolutely nothing it seems at the time, which then comes around later in some joking way with still no importance to the plot haha

Michael Moore: Ok, still expecting to much from the story line as i am a fan of the BBC's version of the Hitchhikers, at least it has branched into new territory with a sprinkling of sayings and comments that i recognise from the tv. But sorry to say I'm hooked reading the fourth book and will read the last just for the hell of it.
Thanks

scholargrowingmuscle: A decent continuation of the adventures of one Arthur Dent. The book continues the series’ tradition of exploring the complexities, ironies, and absurdities of life, the universe and everything. Yet as the story continues, the reader is teased into wondering what deeper part Arthur is unknowingly playing in the universe that a few have hinted to him but no one will tell him.

Citychiclifestyle: So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish: 4/5 (Hitchhikers Guide 4) by Douglas Adams
Rating: 4 out of 5
This is Book 4 of the Hitchhiker series but its very different to the first three. It features Arthur Dent, Ford Prefect and Marvin (briefly), I missed Trillian and Zaphod and obviously a whole lot more of Marvin. As always, it is a cleverly written book with typical Douglas Adams humour.
I was disappointed by the overt focus on romance in this copy (reminded me of cheapish 70s sci-fi movies with better dialogues). I would have preferred more space action to boring earthly love scenes.

Trilliane: Both my husband and I are big Adams fans and read the books many times. Decided to get the audio books for in the car since our 4 yr old son enjoys them too.
This audio installment sadly he will not be able to enjoy, although it is abridge, curse words in the original text have been left in, I won't give away details by saying where but please be aware if you are buying these for children, I would recommend parents listen to these in full first.
With the warning bit done, on to the main.
This is the 3rd installment in the five part trilogy (any Adams fan will know what I mean here, if not, Where Have You Been?!?) and the continuing adventure for our team, Arthur (the last earthman), Ford (Arthur's friend from another world), Trilian (Earthwoman who ran away with Zaphod but is the love interest of Arthur) and Zaphod (The 2 headed, 3 armed Gallactic President) as they travel through both space and time. The story continues from where the previous book, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe left off with our main 2 players, Arthur and Ford being on the planet Earth, that isn't really a planet (never was) but is infact a super computer being run by Mice, some...

Mike Hanes: this book was advertised as a signed copy and it was, but the signature was a reproduction. this became obvious as the book was printed in England in 2005 and unforunatly Mr. Douglas Adams passed away in May of 2001. That being said, Tiffany (who works for the seller) went out of her way to make me happy with this order. I cannot state fully my apprection of the time and effort on her part to ensure my happiness. In my opinion, this is what makes a trully excellent company, because even the best of them will "enjoy the Opportunity" to have problems, only the best of them can make the customer feel as if there were no probem to begin with and be happy to do further buisness.

Mr. Gerald G. Harniman: A commentary on life as we know it; relevant to the ever increasing alienation of the individual in the technological age. With Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams rates with Dickens and Defoe as social commentator through allegory, with the genre of science-fiction taken to its logical conclusion in ultimate absurdity. Recommendeed bedtime reading for every adult and child over the age of seven. All five books in the trilogy in five stages develop a theme both comic and tragic, and exceptionally well observed human nature.

Coraline: I really and truly love Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I recommend the books to almost everyone I know and I haven't let anyone down so far. I will still certainly recommend the books in the series to just about anyone - but this one in particular was not quite as good as the first two in the series.
I'm not sure what it was about this book that kept me from getting as into it as the first two. The plot was a bit more scattered for me which probably makes the main contribution to my slight disappointment. Not that the other Hitchhiker's Guide books are not scattered - this one just had a different feel.
I am curious to re-read the book though. When I started reading the book, I got through the first several chapters and my kindle wasn't able to save the last read page. I went back through and re-read the chapters I had already read and it was way more hilarious than I had thought the first time around. I wouldn't be surprised if I end up with a much better rating once I give it a second read.
Anyway, I most certainly recommend the book - just read the first two books first. They certainly would give a much better introduction to the characters than this...
