barbara jones: I must admit that I was shocked to discover who was responsible for the Dukes illness and the person who stole Emma's letter. I'm a bit scared for Emma and Beranger because I don't trust the dowager duchess or Lord Charles. They truly don't respect Beranger and would love to see him gone.

Kindle Customer: I loved this story about Emma and Beranger returning to England as the Duke and Duchess of Brightshire. They had decided to make some changes to the ancient laws of the nobebility to start forming relationships with people of all stations in life.

Elizabeth: I have all 3 books of the Brinkmanship sisters and enjoyed them immensely. I was touched that their father left them letters to read on their birthdays.. very touching.. the author did a great job depicting their thoughts, dreams and turmoil of knowing what had transpired to them while they were young.. I am looking forward to Katie’s story and looking forward to the England stories as well.

MGSM: Carolyn Fyffe is a masterful storyteller and the American Duchess is another great story that goes from the US west to England - continuing the story of the Brinkman sisters. Love the way she writes compelling character-driven stories, that are woven beautifully into the period of which they are written.

Kindle Customer: I really enjoyed this book - as I have the other three books in this series. I was a bit unsure about the setting changing from the American West to Victorian England but with all the mysteries, twists and turns I have enjoyed it just as much as they other books. My only criticism would be that the narrator’s attempt at a Welsh Accent was a little off putting at times - but that’s because I’m Welsh and it didn’t really detract from my enjoyment of this otherwise very nicely narrated story.

Donna Smith McG: Ok I’ve read Caroline Fyffe book on the ‘sisters’ or ‘The Five Sisters Ranch’ series and I couldn’t wait for this one to come out. I completely remember how Emma & Berenger fell in love in Colorado—ᴀɴᴅ no matter how it came across with a more like a ‘June to July romance, fell in love & got married” pretty faster than June to July. The Duke by his late father in England, Berenger was determined to marry Emma. Of course she wss reluctant, but at the late minute while one of her other sisters was getting married, Beranger told her he had to leave Colorado to go back to claim his name, so the real heir would get what was deserved. That was all a review on how they met & fell in love....That’s where the book shouldn’t have become ‘An American Duchess’.

Maybe it’s me since I’m originally from the 🇬🇧 but Emma travels a long voyage to a mansion and WHY during this LONG voyage, I can’t believe Berenger doesn’t give her what to expect, how a Duchess should understand the snobby rich Brits?! It was as if they spoke about nothing on this?! Especially since she was now going to be the woman in charge of A LOT OF ROOMS, household...

Redrabbitt: Once again, Ms. Caroline Fyffe has taken her readers on a roller-coaster ride in this emotional journey of family, loss, secrets, new beginnings, and love. While this story will read well as a stand-alone, it is also a continuation from Heart of Mine, book three in the Colorado Heart with the meeting of Emma Brinkman and Beranger North. While this new story is not part of the Colorado Heart series, but an extension of their story it will have them leaving America and is a new beginning in England.

In this story, Emma Brinkman and Beranger Northcott (his tue surname) will be quickly married, following the information that he has inherited the title of Duke of Brightshire and they will leave Colorado and sail to England. The story will encompass the changes and memories that Beranger will face returning to where he lived, even if he was treated poorly by his step-mother. He will meet a half-sister that was born after he left England and worked on board a ship until he made his mark in America.

The story is full of mystery, suspense, danger, secrets, angst, but also has new beginnings, making changes in how things in life turn out. It has a large cast of characters in...

Anna: As always I enjoy any book by Caroline Fyffe. This one was a nice surprise. Set in England instead of the west and I thought it was beautifully written. The attention to detail, the family dynamics were great. The twists and turns this story took were unexpected and kept me on the egde of my seat. I never expected the outcome! And it was nice to see Emma and Beranger in a new setting. And seeing a new couple, another sweet love story blossom is just icing on the cake.

Everything was new and a little frightening for Emma. A small town girl was now a duchess. And had not a clue what was expected of her. But her humble ways and charming spirit win over the household quickly. All but Beranger's stepmother. I don't think anything could wipe the frown off of that face. The outright hatred Emma feels from her towards her husband is a red flag and when Berenger begins getting sick, only one person comes to mind.

Beranger is happy to be back home. To see all of his old friends and the ones he considers family. All he wants is to be good to his people and help in any way he can. And love Emma and any children they might have forever. But disturbing happenings are...

jane pearson: What a wonderfully written book the Characters are so well portrayed and I loved the love triangle between Charlotte Tristen and Winters. There was lots to take in from this story, Emma finding her feet in English society, the love triangle, the visit from her friends, Beranger's illness, and so much more I can't wait for her next book. I voluntarily read this book for an honest review and would like to thank the author Caroline Fyffe for such a brilliant story and giving me the honour to review it.
