JZ: I am so happy to find used book. Getting ideas and recipes every time, I don't know where to start or not to repeat the same recipe. Full of explanation as well.

juicing fan: If you are looking into the Whole Food Plant Based foods then you will find this recipe book really useful. It has variety of recipes and shows how you can make things taste good even without oil or animal ingredients. I would also check out the Forks over Knives film to gain more understanding behind it.

Nathan Morgan: When I first looked at the recipes I thought, 'is that it?'. It looked boring and too simple to taste nice.

However, I have now tried quite a few of the recipes and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at how tasty they are.

Easy to make, especially if making in bulk for the week and taste divine. Even the salads are stunning.

Hats off 👏

Kindle Customer: I know this book is supposed to be incredible, so I want to be sure that my review is my own personal opinion, has to do more with how it's set up than anything else. But for me, the set up of the book has turned me off so much that I really never use it. I think that, if you only look at the contents pages, it might be ok, but I'm the type that likes to open up and just find the main dishes, or whatever, and find what I'm looking for. So for me, the way the book seems to be overly organised into sections is just too much for the spontaneous person I am. I mean, there's a section for grain salads, one for bean salads, and one for vegetable salads (with a kick, as it claims), yet the grain salads have beans included, and all the recipes have vegetables. The same goes for the mains, recipes with grains, and recipes with beans separate, yet some of the bean recipes have grains (Cuban- style black beans with cilantro rice; Mujadara- lentils with rice and caramelized onions; etc.), and vice versa where the grain dishes (in their own separate category) have beans ( wild rice, cabbage and chickpea pilaf, for example).
I don't know, maybe it's just me having a problem, but it's enough...

Ayi CRN: Excellent book which will be most helpful in transitioning to a new diet. The section on kitchen and pantry staples is very helpful, giving not only waht the items are but what they can be used for. E.g., reminding the reader that a rice cooker can be used for diverse grains like barley or quinoa. If you've done that before, it will be obvious, but for those of us who haven't, it's very helpful. The weights & measures charts and cooking time charts are also immensely useful, especially the chart on the cooking times for all different sorts of beans.

One niggle is that the item was listed as new, but there is minor damage which looks like water damages. It's only on a few of the lovely full-colour pages showing pictures of the dishes, and it won't interfere with my use of the book. But the listing really should have been 'very good' rather than new, given the damage to the pictures.

Ryan: First, some background info.

- I have NOT cooked any meals in this book yet.
- I've watched Forks Over Knives at least five times, and love it all.
- I'm a College Student
- I've went Vegan for a month, but had to stop because my University doesn't have means of Vegan sustainability, so I was coursed into Vegetarianism, but now I'm looking to go into Plant Based (I will have an apartment with a Kitchen soon, unlike the Dorm I stayed in).
- I just received this Cookbook in the mail yesterday, and I have been reading through it since then.

Second, my opinion(s)

So far this book is really nice. I've read through the first 20 pages, and there are some really helpful tips and lists in there. I don't have much experience cooking, but this book provides enough information, in my opinion, to get started right, with the basics. I haven't cooked any meals yet, but I've seen most of the meals ingredient list, and unlike other vegan cookbooks, they're not complex ingredients. But they're also Not dull ingredients either. Which is such a plus. They also have some stunning pictures if the meals in the middle of book, and they look delicious! Also, there are many...
