Dr. J.: I've use these guide for years as a Family Doctor. Never treated a monkey bite, just a lot of diverticulitis, abscesses, cat scratch, dog bites, etc., but has info on obscure infections too. Has preferred therapy ,and alternatives if allergic or failed treatment. A lot quicker than going to Uptodate.

L D. Sweatt, MD: Excellent book. Exactly like the one I used in med school and residency. It has been updated, of course. I would highly recommend this book especially to any practicing primary care physician.

Millie Mae: I have been buying the Sanford Guide for many years. The information in this book is up to date. It has the alternative choices of antibiotics when the first choice cannot be used for particular patients. The newest version has more information than ever, and the letters are getting smaller compared to the earlier versions. It is getting a little difficult to read.
