Be Gone For Good: This is a great quick read that has a lot of really useful information for new dads. It is by no means comprehensive but it isn't supposed to be. It covers a great deal in a really quick and fun fashion. There will be some ideas in here that you never considered. If you want more after this book (and you will) feel free to check out the thousands of other dad's books you can find here. This book serves as a great primer to get your feet wet without committing to five hundred pages of sappy dad advice.
Moms: This is a perfect book to get your baby's daddy interested in beginning his education about Junior and all that entails.

Becca F.: My husband doesn't really read books. Sometimes he'll start one, but rarely finishes. He's more of a magazine guy. This book, however, attracted and retained his attention and he read it cover to cover and then gave it to his cousin who is expecting his first baby too. It doesn't delve into the details as much as my mom books do, but it covers a wide range and makes all the pregnancy and baby stuff simple and easy to understand. The humor is refreshing, and it walks the fine line between being self deprecating and ragging on men very well. Some other books geared towards dads I found insulting (basically assuming all guys are beer loving football watchers who want to do the bare minimum required by their unreasonable wives). Recommend for first time dads, especially those who are NOT interested in reading a super technical book about every little detail of pregnancy, childbirth, and baby care.

Omar Terrazas: This is an excellent book that covered the basics and really helped me from freaking out. The book is not too long and perfect for guys that don't read to much. The book keeps you entertained and the way it's written helps you retain everything you learn. If you're reading this and still haven't bought the book just buy it. It's not much and believe me a quarter into reading this book you'll feel like it's the best few bucks you have ever spent.
Again this book is not too detailed and does not go in to deep into any certain issue. It just gives you enough information so your not clueless when stuff happens. Once the baby comes you'll really appreciate the little things you picked from this book. I totally recommend this book. Buy it!

Holiday Miller: I love this book! I have to admit, I was beginning to worry about my husband's role in our family as we approach the birth of our first child (due April '07). The only time my husband reads is in the bathroom, and most of the time it's People Magazine or the newspaper...I ordered this book anyway with the hopes that he would become involved and learn about what to expect once the baby is here. It was amazing to see the transformation he made as he read this book. Since becoming pregnant I had been the one doing most of the talking about the baby, but once he started this book it was him doing the talking. We laughed about what he was learning and I think it has made a huge difference in our relationship. I wish this author would write another book!

Erin: Written for the military man/family. Sometimes kinda humorous, but we are more on the hippy side of life, so the writing wasn’t really for us. A short, easy read though.
